The Mission
ING Compliance CoE Romania mission is to provide professional compliance risk management services towards ING entities globally.
A team of Compliance Risk Management specialists is dedicated to supporting the global Compliance Risk Management function on various compliance related activities to ensure the risk is adequately managed.
Working with a variety of internal stakeholders offers an environment which provides the global overview on how compliance risk is managed, and the opportunity to further support the enhancement of the global control framework.
Your day-to-day
The role is defined as a Compliance Specialist Data Protection within Compliance CoE Romania, with a focus on the Second Line Data Protection activities across locations and corporate departments within the organization.
The above translates to the following (non-exclusive) responsibilities:
- Belgium and GROUP reporting requests and other operational tasks;
- DPIA review, ROPA, LIA, TIA;
- Retention and deletion + UMD: review of evidence, retention plan, MIA, in collaboration with CDO and DPE;
- Support to DPE as second line when needed;
- Remediation exercises such as the coming lists of LIA following the MIA on DPIA;
- Support on CAS issue and MIAs;
- Support on DPO monitoring.
What you’ll bring to the team
- University degree;
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in functions dealing with data protection internal controls, preferably in the financial services industry;
- Advanced stakeholders’ management skills, being able to easily connect with different persons from peers to senior management;
- Strong and effective communication skills, being able to present key points in a clear and structured manner – fluent in written and spoken English;
- Knowledge and expertise in fields such as applicable privacy laws and banks governance;
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills, independent and pragmatic who is able to operate in a diversified and multicultural work environment;
- Good collaboration skills, problem solver and ability to work across different business lines and geographies;
- Excellent analytical skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
