Mission

As a Business Analyst you will be part of the Financial Markets & Lending team. Our team offers solutions mainly for the Wholesale division, but its applications provide value for all the business lines of the bank. We have several applications in the portfolio, serving live foreign exchange rates for bank systems, managing transactions of securities as well as regulatory reporting.

Our team is multidimensional, serving two distinct business areas and covers the development process end to end with support from software engineers, business analysts and QA engineers. We collaborate directly with business stakeholders that use the applications developed internally by us.

As part of your day to day, you will be responsible with tackling complex projects that bring value at all levels for the bank. Your role will help with the planning of the technical project steps, translating business needs (functional & nonfunctional) in concrete deliverables that are in line with the bank strategy of scalability, reliability, compliance and security.

You will help our team complete its objectives in an agile environment, using Scrum as a framework to help deliver functionalities.

Your day-to-day

· Combine the business and IT knowledge to slice Epics into Features and User Stories. Assist with the elaboration and refinement of the requirements to ensure they are granular enough for the squads to deliver within a sprint (two-week interval).

· Manage the backlog and prioritize features depending on team availability, business priorities and mandatory/regulatory activities alongside the designated Product Owner.

· Understand business goals and objectives, identify needs and design effective solutions, find potential issues through active questioning by engaging with various stakeholders.

· Write specifications for future developments considering acceptance criteria as well as non-functional requirements.

· Support team with functional and technical knowledge to define and estimate user stories. Facilitate team to design complex technical solutions.

· Participate in the Scrum ceremonies. Act as the liaison between team and stakeholders.

· Construct test scenarios and test delivered features in test environment to ensure the quality of the software, taking into consideration both functional and non-functional requirements (security, performance, availability etc.).

· Act as 3rd line support for production problems, write procedures for the application support team and help investigate issues when needed.

· Help the team fulfill IT Governance requirements, such as technical documentation, vulnerabilities monitoring and other security controls when required.

· Manage business requests by proactively communicating on progress, impediments, and priorities.

· Help the team deliver functionalities to production environment via change management, ensuring that all requirements for a successful and compliant promote have been performed.

What you bring to the team

· A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or economics; equivalent experience will be considered.

· 3 - 5 years of professional experience in technical (system) analysis.

· Ability to interpret and write system documentation and technical specifications.

· Hands on knowledge of relational and non-relational database technologies such as SQL.

· Testing experience of functional & nonfunctional requirements, knowledge of testing with APIs.

· Experience with test case elaboration and management.

· Hands on experience with business requirements management, diagrams and technical analysis documents.

· Good level of knowledge & understanding of the banking industry.

· Strong understanding of data and business process modelling.

· Strong social and communication skills; you are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across teams and functional borders and serve as liaison when needed. You easily connect and align stakeholders within all levels of the organization.

· Autonomous in executing tasks, preparation of advice, and decision making about the analysis approaches.

· Eager to learn and continuously improve your technical skills.

· Fluent English speaking and writing capabilities.

Nice to have

· Work experience in banking industry.

· Work experience in an Agile organization.

· Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow.

· Knowledge of IT security Controls (IAM, security baseline etc.).

· PowerShell, CI/CD, bash knowledge.

· Good understanding of cloud architecture concepts.
