Walk us through your career path in ING.

I`ve started working in ING Bank Romania as a System Analyst in Business Banking area and since then I continuously developed myself. After 6 months I took over the Scrum Master role too for 3 teams, and this gave me the opportunity to get involved in interesting projects from Payments area.

Afterwards, I was a Team Leader for the development team of ING Business Online application, which is the internet banking application for mid corporate clients.

Now I am a Quality Assurance Chapter Lead in Retail Banking area.

How is Life @ ING? (Especially from a learning experience point of view)

One of my favorite projects is one of rewriting an internal application using a new technology and adapting it to the internal customers’ business requests. It was a cool project because I had a very united team. I also had the opportunity to stay near the app users so I could identify how can I ease their work and we managed to implement various ideas that brought a great benefit to users.

How would you explain your role as a Chapter Lead to a 7-year-old?

Together with my team, we make sure that the apps used by clients are working properly. 😊

If you were to recommend ING to a friend, what would you say about the organization?

At ING people are at the forefront and are given the chance to work on innovative products, experiment with new technologies and put their creativity to work.

If you were to save the world with an app…

HelpEducate - an application focused on educating people in disadvantaged countries and areas to provide access to online education for these people and, on the other hand, to provide the necessary infrastructure and funding options for NGOs in those areas.

Let’s say you wrote your first SF book. What would you call it?

2020 – The year that brought change

How is work from home for you during this period?

I'm not complaining 😊 I can work from outside Bucharest, and this allowed me to make the most of the good weather and nature after working hours.

Regarding collaboration with the teams, I feel that we have mobilized very well, we are just as efficient in online meetings and we are advancing very well on all the projects we have at work.
