Within ING Wholesale Banking, you will be attached to the Structured Export Finance (SEF) team, which specialises in the structuring and execution of export finance transactions and - in the case of SEF Paris more specifically - in the financing of capital goods under cover of the French public credit insurer (Bpifrance Assurance Export).

ING's Structured Export Finance teams comprise more than 50 professionals based in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing and New York. ING is a recognised player in the field, confirmed by our consistent position in the top 10 of the Global Export Finance League Tables. ING is able to combine its customer / sector / geographic expertise to originate and structure high value-added transactions.

In line with ING Group's strategy, the SEF teams focus in particular on financing sustainable projects (renewable energy, water, health, education, public transport, hydrogen, batteries, etc.) and define their mission as follows:

Your Responsibilities
As Vice President your key responsibilities will include:

  • You develop and maintain client relationships with (i) exporters of capital goods and related services (ii) importers/borrowers in emerging markets (iii) Bpifrance Assurance Export, the French Export Credit Agency (ECA) to mitigate the political and commercial risks involved in export financings and (iv) any stakeholder involved in trade promotion,

  • You Prospect / pursue new transaction opportunities via contacts with internal and external stakeholders and networks. Support the planning of marketing activities in the export markets you are active in

  • You support and / or lead the structuring and execution of transactions including commercial and credit risk discussions and documentation negotiations including due diligences and ensure that all internal processes are correctly followed.

  • You manage/monitor relevant part of the existing portfolio transactions, support / lead the process for waiver requests and contribute to annual credit reviews.

  • You participate in external events and associations.

  • You lead or participate in relevant projects.

The ideal candidate:

  • University degree in finance, engineering, or law for example

  • Want to join a sustainable and caring company that is committed to actively participate in the financing of the energy transition, 

  • Several years of professional experience in structured (export) finance with proven track-record in transaction management (e.g., as lead arranger/structuring)

  • Strong nowledge of the Export Finance Product and network in the ECA market, with a strong focus on France

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.

  • Committed and commercially minded professional with attention to detail.
