Within the Commercial Finance, part of Business Banking NL, we are looking for an experienced Personal Assistant. You will be working for the Head of Commercial Finance. Depending on your preference this position can be for 32, 36 or 40 hours per week.

The Team

Commercial Finance NL (ComFin) is part of Business Banking and provides working capital to clients based on debtors and inventory (asset based). Characteristic for asset-based lending is that the amount of the loan is primarily based on the value of the customers’ collateral as opposed to financing that is primarily based on the firm and its credit worthiness. 

Commercial Finance within ING is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Romania with a combined profitable outstanding of ~ EUR 6.5B, having a strong presence in Mid-Corporate and Corporate markets. Commercial Finance has grown over the past 10 years with a CAGR of approximately 16,5%.

The factoring market is a rapidly growing market globally, enabled by the rise of new technologies. Commercial Finance has the ambition to expand growth in the SME segment, especially through the application of digital channels.

Commercial Finance NL (ComFin) has started a transformation program Factor10 to future-proof its IT landscape and enable further growth opportunities. This includes renewal of its core IT platform, new product development, deeper integration in ING Business Banking customer- and employee journeys and redesigning ComFin towards digital operations. The Commercial Finance organization is organized in several departments, these are: Sales, Center of Expertise Sales, Circle, Product & Delivery and a Finance team.

Role & Responsibilities

As Personal assistant you will support the Head of Commercial Finance and occasionally the ComFin leadership team. Specific tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Calendar management: schedule daily appointments and proactively manage the calendar: assess priority, sensitivity, and purpose of appointments;
  • Event and meeting planning, including setting agendas and distributing meeting documents;
  • You answer questions or forward them to the right people in the organization;
  • Distribute information correctly and in a timely manner;
  • Handling organizational, logistical and facilitating activities for all business and social events, business trips, meetings, lunches, receptions, anniversaries, etc.;
  • Performing all kinds of administrative tasks (e.g. reporting sick leave, processing declarations, reserving parking spaces, reserving meeting rooms, etc.);
  • Create orders and approve invoices in our financial system (Ibuy - EProfit);
  • Request and approve access requests for various IT systems and business roles.

How to succeed

  • You have an MBO+/HBO working and thinking level, preferably with a secretarial education;
  • You have at least two years of demonstrable work experience as a Personal Assistant;
  • You speak the Dutch language very well and have sufficient knowledge of the English language (both verbally and in writing);
  • You are familiar with the use of MS Office and Outlook;
  • You are representative, honest, loyal and can handle confidential information well.
