Background

The purpose of the COO Tech domain is to: Elevate transparency and control over which IT products and services are delivered and consumed throughout ING in a standardized manner, leading to faster, more cost-efficient, and increased usage of our growing technology platform.

The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO).

You are a member of the COO Tech Leadership Team and report hierarchically into the COO Tech.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Reporting & Insights (CDO) is responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with data standards and maintaining the quality of CTO-owned data
  • Delivering a unified standard set of delivery, performance, financial, service management, people and risk reports from top to bottom in the organization, based on common data sources and uniform calculations.

As the Lead Reporting & Insights (CDO), you are responsible for building team capabilities, fostering growth and development, attracting, and retaining top talent, and driving career advancement within the international network. Most importantly, you oversee three key areas:

  • The CDO Office team, consisting of Data Management Experts, will support the Lead of Reporting & Insights, acting as the formal Chief Data Officer (CDO) for CTO, ensuring compliance with data standards for CTO-owned data.
  • The Data/Reporting Experts team will focus on two core areas: Data and Reporting for CTO-owned data and reports. The scope will include data management and cross domain/institutional reporting related to operational performance, risk, delivery, people, and delivery financials, excluding client or product-related reports.
  • The Product Management COO Tech Tooling team will own the product management (controlling the backlog, setting priorities, managing the budget, and allocating respective engineers) for several tools (e.g. PPM, Azure Boards, new ServiceNow CSDM modules, which focus on Portfolio Management, Digital Product Management, Service Management, and Intra-company Sourcing).

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years’ relevant senior-level professional experience required
  • Strong background in data management, reporting and analytics and deep understanding of the Tech landscape
  • Working experience abroad is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong data fluency skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities, quantitative insights and problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational sensitive with the ability to build trust with senior leadership
  • A naturally collaborative person, who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes, where needed, to achieve results - Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skills

Education:

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications
