Our Finance Business Advice department is a management accounting department with a strong focus on advice. We act as financial conscience via the role of business partner for all departments within the domestic bank of ING in the Netherlands. Currently we are looking for a financial business partner for the Balance Sheet Management domain.  

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the Balance Sheet Management domain in which you will have business partners across the organization whom you are going to provide analytics and insights and give your independent (strategic) advice.

  • Provide financial result presentations, analyses and advice to relevant stakeholders

    • Ensure high quality, first time right deliverables

    • Actively develop relationships with your business partners and act as a trusted advisor by supporting the leads with strategic analysis on balance sheet and risk related developments

    • Proactively look for ways to improve processes, forecasting and actual reporting
       

  • Be involved in the overall budgeting and forecasting process

    • Be responsible for providing accurate forward looking financial plans on liquidity (e.g LCR reporting) and RWA’s

    • Play a strong role in challenging and aligning with business controllers and stakeholders on forecasted and actual financial developments (e.g. replication income, risk costs, RWA)

    • Analyze actuals and derive action points
       

  • Play an active role in the FBA department

    • Work on overarching projects which cover the full bank

    • Actively work and think along in the team to look for possible efficiencies in our processes and to improve business relevant insights

Furthermore, you have:

  • Financial Master degree

  • 5+ years experience in Treasury, Market Risk Management, Balance Sheet Management or Fund Transfer Pricing / Replicating Portfolios.

  • Experience in a financial advice position within a bank is preferred

  • A sincere interest in banking and a curious attitude in market developments

  • Experience in translating complex data into sound advice

  • Experience in giving independent strategic advice to senior management

  • Understanding of Balance Sheet dynamics of financial institutions

  • Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills
