The team

The COO (Chief Operating Officer) and CTO (Chief Tech Officer) Finance team aims to support the Global COO/CTO organization to make robust business decisions based on our analysis and advices. The COO/CTO organization is at the core of delivering our strategy to build a leading digital bank. As approximately 40% of the cost base in ING is in our Tech and Operations this means you can truly make a difference. The COO and CTO Finance team is a small department, which will allow you to get exposure to senior managers of COO/CTO. The opportunity

The Planning, Control and Consolidation department will be responsible for global reporting COO and CTO domain, performance management and controls (incl. SoX), and the control of selected COO/CTO staff departments. As Finance Advice Expert COO (or CTO) you are responsible for the global consolidation and reporting of COO (or CTO) domain. Furthermore you will be first point of contact for COO (CTO) teams in the locations regarding all finance related topics from global to local (and vice versa), including the charging from Head Office to locations.

Responsibilities

  • Sparring partner for senior management in strategic and tactical decision making
  • Provide reports and analysis in a timely manner to support management decisions
  • Advise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and control
  • Tracking and tracing of Global COO (CTO) business cases and reporting to MT COO (CTO) on it.
  • Follow cost trends and adjust Rolling Forecast periodically
  • Contact person for countries; redirecting and collecting answers and feedback all questions from countries regarding Head Office charges, invoices, gateways, etc.
  • Perform run-rate analysis, advise on cost efficiency opportunities and prepare business cases for Change programs
  • Strong collaboration with finance colleagues from Group Finance, Retail Finance and

Wholesale Finance to ensure alignment, transparency, consistency, and insight

Furthermore, you have:

  • University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree
  • 5+ years of professional working experience in a relevant position such as Finance Business Partner, Business controller, or compatible
  • Knowledge of banking operations and operational excellence.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management
  • Being pro-active and curious will help you to be successful in this dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Track record in a complex environment
  • Organizational sensitivity and effective conflict management skills
