ING CI is part of ING’s Global Capital Markets & Advisory division, which offers a comprehensive suite of tailored advisory services, including Mergers & Acquisitions and Debt Advisory, as well as global capital markets expertise in Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Distribution Group and Securitization. 

The Role  

As a Director in our Equity team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, originating, evaluating, and executing [minority] equity investment opportunities in the Benelux. You will work closely with your portfolio companies to drive value and achieve our investment objectives. You will frequently engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders. You will be an integral part of the global ING CI team, with local presence in Amsterdam, Madrid and New York and supported by our Portfolio Management and Value Creation team, as well as our Execution Pool based in Amsterdam.  

Your Profile 

We are seeking:  

  • A seasoned investment professional with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in Private Equity 

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English 

  • A robust network and a proven track record in deal sourcing 

  • Expertise in structuring complex deals from origination to execution, while effectively managing a deal team 

  • Ability to add value to portfolio companies post-closing 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills 

  • High degree of integrity and professionalism 

  • Alignment with the values and behaviors of the ING Orange Code 

  • Focus on both personal and team success 

  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to challenge conventions and ideas
