Our challenges: product improvement and user adoption and feedback
For our employees was finding information and knowledge in ING sometimes very consuming. Therefore we introduced OneSearch, our internal search engine for ING employees. Where we bring together different knowledge sources and make them searchable.

We introduced OneSearch early 2024 and since than we are further improving our product.
 

We are looking for an intern who can help us in this journey and help us bring OneSearch to the next level.

We are constantly evolving our product based on employees’ needs. We set up user research to understand their needs and develop our product based on that. In this role, you might be conducting concept and usability testing and gather feedback and develop wireframes and prototypes around their needs.

During your internship you’ll help us analysing usage of OneSearch and act on the received feedback.

create newsletters, online news items on our SharePoint site(s) and other content. You’ll also create emails, write articles for the ING intranet, develop visual aids (such as quick start guides and OnePagers) and you’ll manage our ‘My Workplace community’ on Viva Engage.

We are Platform and automation, the department within Tech/People&Hubs responsible for delivery of a global Enterprise Search solution.

Are we looking for you?
We are looking for a project assistant intern with great communication skills:

• Who loves to be part of a dynamic team;
• who is eager to understand what end users need while searching for information;
• who is creative in finding out and testing new search journeys;

Are you that proactive project assistant who wants to learn in a diverse and dynamic setting?

If so, you will be part of our OneSearch team for three-six months, starting in January 2025.  

There will be lots of opportunities to try out new ideas! Search is booming in the company.

Examples of what you would be doing

• Analyse and categorize received feedback.
• On a weekly basis monitor our data quality report and determine follow up actions when needed.  Investigate how to automate this where possible with for example Power BI.

• Improve engagement for the OneSearch support channel.  Post updates on a regular basis. Stimulate colleagues to participate in this support channel. Come up with ideas to make the support channel grow.
• Maintain our support page on the intranet
• Support with preparing demo’s , sessions with stakeholder and end user sessions.
• Prepare and participate during our monthly analytics day where we look at usage of our product and possible improvements.

Your profile

• You are a bachelor or master student in the field of project management or communications or related studies.
• You live in The Netherlands.
• You love to connect with different experts, IT and professionals.
• You have affinity with IT and the latest (M365) technologies.
• You are independent, ambitious and result driven.
• You are pragmatic, proactive, and you enjoy coming up with new ideas.
• You work in an accurate and structured manner.
• You are an enthusiastic team player.
• You have knowledge with M365 service and a pre is experience with Power BI.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch is a pre.
