The Team
Tribe Integrated Risk (IR) is an enthusiastic and diverse team of app 45 highly qualified professionals spread across different teams, responsible for managing regulatory and non-regulatory credit risk models, including ESG risks of ING Netherlands.
We are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of models covering the lending portfolios of all segments in the ING The Netherlands. book. We do this by developing and maintaining IRB, IFRS9, CDMs and EWS models compliant with internal and external policies. We are also responsible for the integration of ESG risks in the risk frameworks of ING Netherlands. We closely cooperate with our business stakeholders in order to contribute to better business while pro-actively managing the associated risks.
Use of data to identify, measure and mitigate risks is at the core of our business with the purpose to keep the bank safe and compliant. Ability to justify decisions based on underlying data and quantitative analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
Setting and executing data strategies for the CRO domain with a primary focus on integrated risk solutions
Setting clear goals and track execution and dependencies for data and analytics, with a special focus on the MORSE project
For the MORSE project: Ensure integrated data solutions delivered on-specification and on-time
Setting Quantitative and Qualitative requirement on DQ credit risk modelling data, focused on governance and control
Gradually move the Integrated Risk and wider CRO-domain tribes to next-generation analytical platforms (e.g. SAS Viya 4.0)
Interact with data stewards to steamline data sourcing strategies
Actively contributing to a learning organization with goal oriented and flexible teams
Interact with internal and external stakeholders (ECB, DNB, AFM)
Clear ownership and accountability of managing the deliverables end-to-end.
Co-create and deliver on bank-wide strategy: Horizon ’28, ESG, modeling, data and risk frameworks
Focus on value creation and sound risk management processes and governance

You have experience dealing with business segments and products (Netherlands or international), in 1st or 2nd line roles and therefore have a thorough understanding of
Consumer and Business lending processes, both at origination and in-life.
Regulatory frameworks for capital and loan-loss-provisioning (IRB, IFRS9, BCBS239)
Data management and data governance
Model development and validation standards, both internal and external
Change management and system migrations
You have at least 10 years of experience within Risk functions in the banking sector or in consulting, that include model developments and/model validation.
You have experience with direct interactions with Supervisory Senior Management.
You have a proven track-record of interations with supervisory authorities such as DNB, ECB, AFM or APG... You have performed analytical tasks in your previous role, and therefore able to:
Strong leadership skills and good stakeholders management;
Design and drive qualitative and quantitative analysis
Conceptually understand Logical Data Models and data management processes
Perform quantitative analysis
Data Bases and acquainted with programming languages (SAS, Python, SQL, data integration and lineage solutions)
You have experience with Credit Risk regulation, i.e. interpretation of the regulation, implementation of the regulation
You can write and speak in English fluently (Dutch is an advantage)
You have proven record of driving and implementing change
You have project management experience (experience in Agile Way of Working is a plus)
You have hunger for deep understanding and striving for impact
You are stress resilient and able to prioritise and manage yourself effectively
You constantly develop yourself professionally and you are passionate about Credit Risk related topics
