Commercial Finance NL (ComFin) is part of Business Banking and provides working capital to clients based on debtors and inventory (asset based). Characteristic for asset-based lending is that the amount of the loan is primarily based on the value of the customers’ collateral as opposed to financing that is primarily based on the firm and its credit worthiness. 

Commercial Finance within ING is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, and Romania with a combined profitable outstanding of ~ EUR 6.5B, having a strong presence in Mid-Corporate and Corporate markets. Commercial Finance has grown over the past 10 years with a CAGR of approximately 16,5%.

The factoring market is a rapidly growing market globally, enabled by the rise of new technologies. Commercial Finance has the ambition to expand growth in the SME segment, especially through the application of digital channels.

The team

As a Customer Journey Expert you are part of the Area Product & Delivery. The Area is organized in several squads (Platform, Portals & Interfaces, Magic Development, MI-BI, Product Management and Factor10). In this role you are part of the Magic Development squad. The squad is responsible for implementing new features, updates, and changes to the Factor-Link and E-inventory applications, based on business requirements, regulatory requirements or technical improvements.

Roles and responsibilities

As a CJE you are a team player, have excellent problem-solving ability and can drive projects from concept to execution. You are responsible for:

• Defining project principles, requirements and use process designs to visualize changes 
• Take on complex cases and translate them into workable change items, taking into account the whole commercial finance chain
• Improving the customer experience of existing products and ensuring that products and systems continue to align with market and technology developments.
• Developing and implementing new products based on existing propositions.
• Developing and implementing incremental digital innovations on existing products and customer journeys, both for customers and internal users.
• Improving existing products, processes, and systems, including regulatory aspects.

Skills and experience needed for this role:

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree

• Minimum of 3 + years of work experience in factoring market

• You have strong analytical skills and take decisions based on data and facts 

• You have the skills to bridge between business and IT

• You have solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders. 
• You have experience in banking or the financial industry 
• You are fluent in Dutch and English (verbally and written)
