The TMT&H is one of the global specialist sector coverage teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking. We provide banking services and complex financial solutions to telecommunication, media, entertainment, technology, satellite, healthcare and pharmaceutical companies in the EMEA region, the Americas and in Asia-Pacific.

Working in the TMT&H sector team means working in a dynamic environment with interesting clients and on challenging transactions at the very heart of the ING organization. The global TMT&H sector team currently consists of 80+ dedicated professionals located in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney. This footprint will be extended to new countries within the EMEA and AsiaPac regions. The combined teams in the EMEA region, together with Bankers in other locations serve clients in a number of TMT&H sub-sectors.

Given the growth ambitions of ING WB in France and the focus on capturing additional business with both domestic and international players in the TMT&H value chain, a new dedicated TMT&H sector team will be established in Paris.

Roles et responsibilities

  • Building client relationships: co-managing our multi-product relationships coverage, building and growing business with French clients across all ING banking products and services (lending, financial markets, DCM, transactions services, corporate finance, sustainable finance, etc.);

  • New Deal Origination / Execution: Origination of and/or participation in corporate and project financings related to all TMT&H technologies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to (i) preparation of marketing/pitch material for new transactions and financing opportunities; (ii) pitching/structuring/underwriting/executing new transactions including assessing commercial opportunity, performing risk/reward analysis, due diligence, preparing internal approvals (greenlight, credit memos and ancillary documents, performing due diligence, legal documentation and closing) in coordination with the Transaction Management team ; (iv) onboarding of clients/ borrowers including conducting KYC; (v) assisting in development of client strategies such as capital structuring or M&A transactions in Energy through coordination with other product teams (e.g. Financial Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Syndications, Corporate Finance); and (vi) assisting in developing market intelligence and industry expertise by preparing market updates and/or research for new technologies;

  • Portfolio Management: Supervising the portfolio management team and supporting in case of significant event on the loan portfolio and distressed/provisioned credits;

  • Way Of Working: You will be in regular contact with clients, prospects, banks, technical and legal advisors. The nature of the complex and dynamic environment/market requires you to have a collaborative approach to internal departments, such as Credit Risk Management, Legal, compliance, Operations and Sustainability. In addition, you may be tasked to work alongside TMTM&H professionals located in Europe as well as with other Wholesale Banking disciplines to maximize cross-buy and returns for ING.

Required skills:

Education:

University/Business school master’s degree in economics/finance, and/or CFA or equivalent academics

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in TMT&H transactions

  • Mastering of French and English

  • Team player, self motivated high quality/high quantity producer, detail orientated and accurate

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines, and to swiftly identify the key issues and propose solutions

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong Excel skills and ability to independently work on financial debt projection models, fundamental understanding of key financial markets and products;

  • Knowledge of French TMT market environment is a must.
