About the position:

ING Transaction Services in the Americas

Transaction Services (‘TS’) is part of ING’s Wholesale Banking division and operates globally with daily banking related products such as Working Capital Solutions (Supply Chain Finance and Receivable Finance), Trade Finance Solutions, Payments & Cash Management, and Liquidity Management Solutions like cash pooling, virtual cash management or solutions offered via our subsidiary Bank Mendes Gans. With strong domestic presences in many European countries, ING has developed into a leading player in European Transaction Banking and has a growing footprint in the US. To further expand its international franchise, ING is looking for an Analyst/ Associate Transaction Services

Purpose of the role is to help the team to build out ING’s position in Transaction Services market share.

Reporting line

The candidate will report functionally and hierarchically to the Head of Transaction Services Americas (Tibor Bartels).

ING in the Americas is focused on managing and expanding the global relationship with multi-national US corporate clients and prospects, offering the complete suite of ING corporate banking and treasury products across our international network – with a natural focus on Europe. Clients vary from large US stock listed companies, with revenues of over USD 2bn, a considerable business footprint in Europe and an investment grade / cross-over credit profile or smaller clients that are serviced in one of the sector specific teams.

There is a high level of interaction and coordination applicable with the ING network (e.g. product specialists, local relationship managers and credit committees). The Analyst will be involved in coordinating internal processes efficiently.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Transaction Services Consultants in managing the product relationship with U.S. Corporate Clients in all areas of the Transaction Services offering:
  • Assist with client analysis and portfolio planning
  • Developing a well-rounded knowledge of the Transaction Services offering
  • Creating and maintaining strategic global client account plans
  • Supporting the consultants in client meetings and preparation of comprehensive marketing presentations
  • Coordinating and assisting with answering RFP processes
  • Identifying and analyzing key opportunities related to a client
  • Participating in client visits, requiring traveling across the U.S. and occasionally in Europe.
  • Support for and takeover of administrative tasks on behalf of the team

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree for finance, economics, law or business preferred

Analytical and judgment skills, Microsoft office suite

Can-do mentality, able to perform Ad-Hoc tasks and work independently

Team player, contribute to team development

Product / business / sector knowledge

Execution capabilities and ability to drive and coordinate processes end to end

Curious, self-motivated, with high work ethics

Business drive / performance motivation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Base Salary: $105K
