TM Italy Translator

Working as TM Translator you will:

Be responsible for the timely translation written or spoken material (email, document, transactions, report etc) from Italian language to English and vice versa while maintaining the original meaning format and tone.

Carefully reading and comprehending the context of the given material, utilizing specialized translation skills and cross-checked using ING standard translation tools.

Ensure precise KYC compliance translation. Ensure local knowledge of the jurisdiction and cultural understanding of the correct local procedures to help spot irregularities, misrepresentation/ falsifications.

Coordination with other teams, group (ex: account manager for RFIs and other front office related communications.)

Participate in meetings, alignments, calibration (as needed) with IT team - (SME, Quality, Analysts)

Requirements and skills

Requires exceptional attention to detail and fluency in two languages (Italian and English) in addition to your native language. (B2) written ; (B1) spoken
Proven work experience as a TM Translator, Interpreter or similar role. Skilled linguists, experienced in AML to spot irregularities that may indicate suspicious activity.
Reliable identification of false documents or information or deliberately falsified documents
Need to understand the concept of Financial Economic Crime and how Transaction Monitoring operates within the ING Group.
Familiarity with ING translation tool
Time-management skills
Stakeholder management skills
BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
