Job Overview
• As a Senior Pega Developer, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team, bringing a
mastery of Pega development principles to the forefront. Your responsibilities encompass
leading the design and implementation of complex Pega applications, showcasing a
comprehensive understanding of workflows, integrations, and system optimization. With
a demonstrated ability to handle intricate development tasks independently, you will
contribute significantly to the success of our projects.
• You will be a member of the Pega Manila Center of Excellence (CoE), which caters to
various business domains such as Wholesale Banking, Retail, and many more. The Pega
CoE provides high-quality, scalable Pega solutions that drive efficiency and innovation
across these diverse business areas.
• In this role, you will work in a squad alongside your Product Owner (PO) and Junior
Developers, contributing to strategic decision-making processes, and mentoring junior
developers. You will collaborate closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJE), and other
stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the applications meet business
needs. Your direct line of reporting will be to your Chapter Lead, who will guide your
development and ensure alignment with overall team goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Advanced Application Development: Lead the design and development of complex
Pega applications, ensuring robust workflows, user interfaces, and business logic.
• Strategic Implementation: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing Pega
applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues, applying advanced
problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJEs), Architects, and other
stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into effective Pega solutions.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing expertise and
fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and
implement best practices to enhance development efficiency and application quality.
Key Capabilities/Experience
• Extensive experience in Pega development, with a comprehensive understanding of Pega
rules, classes, flows, and data structures.
• Advanced knowledge of Pega Platform Architecture and design principles
• Expertise in Pega integration patterns and best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experienced in Agile / Scrum / DevOps projects.
• Have great analytical skills and have a conceptual / architectural understanding.
• Experienced working in a complex, regulated environment such as a large financial
institution
Minimum Qualifications
• 5+ years of extensive experience in Pega development
• Pega Certification: Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) / Certified Lead System
Architect (CLSA) – preferred but not mandatory
• Fluent in English speaking and writing and a good communicator in general.
• Able to bring all ideas/opinions to one conclusion to help make decisions.
• Up to date with new Technology and have a deep understanding of when to use it.
• Humble in approach and not afraid to be wrong.
