Mission

Perform risk management by maintaining appropriate risk – reward balance to continuously grow a healthy and profitable credit portfolio. The Sr. Credit Risk Analyst will be part of a team of high value specialists, recognizable in the local banking sector.

Your Day to Day

  • Perform detailed analysis and review of credit proposals for mid-corporate and corporate clients to ensure these are complete, accurate, consistent and comply with current risk policies and procedures. Prepare advices to approval mandates or decide on credit proposals within delegated approval authority 
  • Identify and assess in written advices or decisions main risks, appropriate loans structuring and key policy elements from the analysed files
  • Offer advice to commercial people on risk appetite, credit structures, ING policies and risk acceptance standards to ensure that proposals address all main risks prior to submission for approval
  • Assist in credit process including follow up on pending items with Head Office, assisting regional risk management inquiries on reports or specific proposals
  • Monitor the credit risk of the assigned portfolio or individual borrowers separately, i.e. follow the developments of the borrowers and financing structures
  • Monitor the periodic reports on excesses, pending documents, overdue approval conditions, non-compliant covenants and policy exceptions. Take action when needed based on these reports
  • Review portfolio analysis reports, prepare or monitor required reports in view of compliance with risk appetite statements, credit risk limits and applicable policies.
  • Actively monitor the Watch List portfolio; ensure that actions discussed in the WL meetings are properly followed up on.
  • Consistent attention to properly flagging and managing high risk exposures including leveraged transactions, WL, stage 2, forbearance, rerating etc.
  • Continuous attention and compliance to minimum standards regarding data quality, overdue reviews, Basel compliant ratings, EWSs etc.
  • Participate and contribute to various interdepartmental projects requiring feedback from Credit Risk Department i.e. reviewing lending policies, efficiency projects etc. Joint responsibility for the local strategic risk related projects and regulatory projects

What you bring to the team

  • University degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, economics or accounting. CFA, ACCA or other relevant certification would be an advantage.
  • Min 3-5 years of bank experience, generally in corporate lending or risk management
  • Good knowledge of credit risk and financial analysis for corporate or mid-corporate clients. Knowledge and experience with Financial Markets (derivatives) would be a plus
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders
  • Customer orientation, persuasiveness and decision-making
  • Analytical thinking, discipline, flexibility, teamwork, commitment.
