Product Owner Personal Loans

The Product Owner (PO), working as Customer Journey Expert in Agile organization, has end-to-end responsibility for the development, management, harmonization and phasing out of the product personal loans and related new product features focusing on distinctive customer experience, profitability and effective cost management E2E.

The PO is in charge to set priorities, manage internal and external stakeholders, solve impediments, help squad members in their day-to-day activities. In addition, PO is accountable for manage and deliver internal reports and optimize performance, reduce product inefficiencies, identify and close relative gaps.

The position requires overall strategic view, excellent lead and communication skills, problem solving and data driven approach, an orientation to detail and process, ability to work and maintain composure under tight deadlines, advanced expertise in digital onboarding, as well as knowledge about usability/user experience principles and best practices.

This position also demands ability to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams and cross-teams.

Key Responsibilities:         

  • Manage a cross-functional team in Agile Way of Working and set-up, prepare and manage all the team ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-up, backlog refinement, retrospective);
  • Manage the Product Backlog and build the product roadmap, identifying the top priorities in order to develop the best and most attractive product proposition;
  • Define the product strategy in collaboration with Chapter Lead and Tribe Lead; set-up the action plan and guide the execution of the strategy, ensuring that the strategic priorities are made;
  • Promote a digital and mobile first mindset aiming at an effortless consumer lending, both for our customers and for ING;
  • Capture the market momentum by constantly monitor and analyze market and competitors;
  • Continually assess the performance of the personal loan products range, the regulatory landscape and external market trends and competitor developments to ensure the customer proposition as effective as possible;
  • Fully accountable for delivery of product revenue, profit and product-related customer satisfaction;
  • Define, document and agree, with key stakeholders, a product plan that identifies: the market landscape, product scope and performance, objectives and strategy, the customer experience;
  • Create and own market requirements specifications and business cases for the product;
  • Plan and constantly monitor the execution of the tech/IT delivery related to the product;
  • Helps the squad to analyze and define business process flows in order to draft functional documents based on analysis and collected requirements, supporting users in requirements definitions identifying impacted areas and processes and finally execute tests;
  • Accountable for product lifecycle management. This includes product performance management, product marketing and product innovation;
  • Responsible for the Run/Change budget assigned to the squad.

Competencies:

  • Master’s degree, postgraduate or equivalent background in Economics, Management Engineering and similar is desirable;
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise presentation, papers, user stories and interact directly with top management and senior colleagues;
  • Strong inter-personal skills, network building and stakeholder management;
  • 5+ years work experience in Product Management/Project Management building in Consumer Lending business development;
  • An understanding of the Financial market is needed, including benchmark and competitors overview;
  • Solid experience of working autonomously in a dynamic, international, and collaborative environment, identifying new potential business opportunities and improvements;
  • Creative problem solver - able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience of monitoring and tracking financial performance and working data;
  • Ability to lead complex projects and working effectively across functions, while managing stakeholders and governance requirements;
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge (i.e. Excel and Power Point);
  • Fluent English both written and spoken.
