The tribe consists of seven dedicated product areas focusing on specific segments of the lending value chain (underwriting, monitoring, credit ratings, servicing, covers, channels, and data) supported by three centres of expertise; Business Architecture, Business Support / Non-Financial Risk and Data Analysts.

This is a vacancy in the Business Architecture centre of expertise. The team is responsible for the Global Lending Standardisation Framework (GLSF) in terms of products, processes, data, and IT applications and works together with the product leads covering the segments in the lending value chain and stakeholders. Within this team, we align the business objectives with the lending operating model, promote efficiency by optimizing end-to-end processes, contribute to small- and large-scale IT implementation and safeguard the consistency of our products and lending policies.

We design, maintain, and improve the GLSF based on (organizational) changes, new regulation, and technology in close coordination with the product leads, IT based on the priority setting by the head of Lending. The Business Architecture team also oversees product management and related product changes, product governance and the design and performance management of our products.

Role

The process expert is responsible for helping to govern lending processes and collaborating with tribe lending product leads and external stakeholders (sales, risk management, countries) to improve internal business operations. The role requires deep knowledge of business process management, process analysis and modelling using well-established methods like lean and six sigma, and experience in leading optimisation and automation projects, using process mining to aid process discovery and analysis. Ability to create and update an inventory / repository of enterprise processes is also key, together with a solid grasp of both business and technology concepts; requirements and business architecture designs; and how they depend on and affect each other.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide process architecture / business process management advice and assurance.

·       Provide guidance and frameworks on process optimisation techniques.

·       Apply lean or six sigma methods for operational excellence.

·       Use process mining to do process discovery, analysis, and monitoring and train others in the business architecture team on process mining and optimisation.

·       Lead process optimisation design and advice for key transformation projects.

·       Manage process model repository (Aris) and map it to tech landscape for transformation demand.

·       Maintain Enterprise Process Model (level 1-3) in Aris.

·       Connect level 4, 5, and 6 processes from transformation projects to L1-3 enterprise process model.

·       Assist audit and/or compliance show process level controls with data and visualisation.

·       Work with product leads to develop Aris for business process management roadmap.

·       Manage Aris & Aris Process Mining Product Roadmap.

·       Work with business, tech, and data functions to align business and IT with the process inventory connected to tech landscape.

·       Work with business and product owners to envision process changes and the technical changes needed.

·       Support process modelling as required.

·       Support Aris users as required.

 Proven record and technical skills:

·       Master’s degree with minimal 3-5+ years of working experience

·       Experience in Business Process Management and creating and analysing process models.

·       Experience in developing optimisation / automation approaches.

·       Experience in applying and promoting process mining to aid process discovery and analysis.

·       Experience in running improvement / automation projects with lean and or six sigma techniques / automation tools.

·       Experience of using Aris process mining for improvement projects

·       Knowledge of at least one technology domain, incl. Channels; Automation; Data Science & AI; Data and/or Integration.

·       Experience in working in global change and transformation programmes.

·       Certified in Six Sigma and / or Lean.

·       Possess an elevated level of knowledge in core areas, incl. design thinking, business capability modelling, process models, value stream mapping, customer & user profiling, journey maps.

Essential Soft skills

·       Skilled at conveying ideas to a technical or business audience in a way that is meaningful, easy to understand and engaging.

·       Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

·       Diligence and strong analytical skills.

·       Good verbal and written communication skills.

·       Ability to use networks in ING Bank to access additional expertise if needed.

·       Comfortable working with uncertainty at the start of projects, with ability to provide clear direction despite this.

·       Initiative-taker, ability to establish and deliver on priorities.

·       Pro-active, open minded, goal driven personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.

Desirable

·       Experience of collaborating with offshore teams.

·       Knowledge of one or more of the following banking domains: Lending, Credit or Operations.

This is a 17 position in the ING GJA scale, functionally reporting to the Tribe lead product Business Architecture based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and hierarchically to the Tribe Lead Lending based in Dublin.
