As PowerBI Change Expert, you work in a team of other data enthusiasts on complex BI & Analytics challenges for our Global Services organization and other stakeholders. We work on many management information topics related to our internal finance & risk domain customers.
Team and organizational context
You will be the first member of a new team. The mission of this team is set up support for a newly developed service while being part of a larger organization. This new team will be working with colleagues in Manila and Amsterdam (Netherlands) who are supported by a standard way of working., Team members are expected to have the financial and/or management accounting knowledge to explain the requirements clearly and have close cooperation with global stakeholders.
What do we want to achieve?
Our ambition is to be the place to go for all global management information related data requests towards our Global Services organization. We service the global Finance & Risk community and senior management with global structural standardized data solutions with the support of actionable, forward looking and interactive dashboards. Over time we have built an impressive track record in presenting data in an innovative and interactive way.
Within our team we have the objective to better understand data and how to present this in a standardized BI dashboard to all relevant internal customers globally. We work together with other teams and colleagues to continuously to improve and optimise our dashboards.
Role and responsibilities:
You are responsible to build & maintain PowerBI dashboards based on requirements. In this you will be working closely with the Subject Matter Experts who translated the stakeholders’ questions and requests in a set of requirements. You need to deliver by using both your professional expertise and the multiple data sources which we have available. Your goal is to ensure that decisions are based on actual data, preferably from source systems such like FRIDA, finance & risk applications, data lakes and less frequently Excel.

· You have proven skills in combining and analyzing data, handling high complexity and you get energized when dealing with complex multi-dimensional data requests,
also when these are off the beaten track.
· You are a keen problem solver with strong analytical skills and a can-do mentality.
· As we receive multiple ad-hoc requests sometimes with very short timelines, the job will require flexibility.
· As we have a global scope you are able to understand and deal with cultural differences, conflicting interests, and unforeseen challenges.
· You have a consulting mindset including an ability to think about Data Management.
· You master the English language (written and in speech).
We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and experience:
· 5 years of working experience in data analytics field within Finance.
· Experience in dealing with large data sets and associated technology with an understanding of PowerBI is required.
· Experience in conducting data research/analytics on different datasets.
· Experience in the art of storytelling through numbers and effective visualization techniques.
· Extensive Knowledge of data management
· Experience within financial and/or management accounting is a plus.

Power BI skills we would expect from you are:
Expect:
- You know about Dax code. Meaning you know how to write (and read) formulas and measurements in Power BI
- Familiar with the query editor (M-code)
- Affinity with Power BI
- Know how to link tables together
Preferred (plus points), but could also be learned on the job
- Know how to set up authorization roles (row-level-security)
- Familiar with Static and dynamic role level security and how to use them in Power BI
- Experience with Power BI on premises (on the server) and/or Power BI in the cloud
- Know how to customize formatting themes
- Know how to use variables (“ Var”) in Dax
- Know what relational tables are and how they are used in excel
- You are familiar with the use of timetables
- You are familiar with the difference between dimensional and fact tables and how they are used in Power BI
