ING Bank covers Wholesale and Retail Banking in Asia Pacific. Our Wholesale Banking business is present and active in 11 major economies in the Asia Pacific, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
[Management Accounting]
- Review and analyze the report prepared by IBSS; Deal-by-Deal report, Monthly BS/PL, RWA and Headcount report
- Provide analytical comments/advice from an accounting/tax perspective
- Perform DP upload for BS, PL, FTE, and risk costs
[Financial Accounting]
- Review daily GBS/GFRS reconciliation prepared by IBSS
- Review and verify monthly journal entries prepared by IBSS
- Review HO reporting prepared by IBSS and verify the adjustments, if required
- Respond to any HO regulatory requirement changes
- Provide analytical comments/advice from an accounting perspective
[Accounts Payable/GL entries]
- Review AP schedules
- Oversee AP processes (Vendor payment and staff expense claim)
- Review and verify GL entries (FA, Prepaid, other ad-hoc entries)
[Risk and Control]
- Be responsible for risk & control works based on PCS&FRR and KCT activities in Tokyo in accordance with the instruction given by the regional team
- Perform annual transit account review and account rationalization
[Others]
- Follow up the reconciliation works (I/C, LISA, INCH and etc…) with IBSS Manila and find the way to improve
- Prepare the materials for ALCO and take minutes.
- Support other Finance tasks including tax return, regulatory reporting, and daily reporting.
[Special Duties]
- Take initiative in improving the efficiency of Finance works
- Provide advice from an accounting/tax perspective
- Asses and foresee the impact from the system migration and ensure and maintain the accurate financial figures
- Assess how new business and regulatory requirement impacts, and lead implementation
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of financial work experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax, product control or audit from Financial Services Industry (Banking, Securities, Insurance), Trading Industry or Big4.
- Good understanding of consolidation of accounting and financials.
- Japanese Nissho bookkeeping test 2nd grade in/CPA qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong Japanese / English written and oral communication skills with proven success in influencing business decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Excel. Excel Macro working knowledge.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across a cross-functional team and influence senior leaders.
- Strong team player, self-starter and motivator, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Successful candidate will be results focused, with high energy, flexible and with good work prioritization skills.
- Product and accounting knowledge of financial markets products (Derivatives) and wholesale banking lending and trade finance products is preferred.
