IT Risk Engineer - Retail Lending

Your role & work environment

As IT Risk Engineer within the Retail Lending Area (Consumer Loans, Mortgages and Collections), you will

1. Play a central facilitator and advisor role during creation/review/update/validation of IT risk governance documents (Business Impact Assessment, Detailed Risk Assessment, Operational Security Baseline, ...)

2. Work with the Squads, Asset Owners, IT Custodian and all necessary risk parties to meet the requirement(s) for each control domain, and to make sure that all evidence are provided and kept up-do-date. When evidence is challenged, play a key role in understanding, defending, updating, re-submitting

3. Support the application (delegate) owners and squads managing the Non-Personal Accounts (creation, monitoring, review usage)

4. Actively participate into application users accesses strategy, implementation & related controls

5. Monitor the presence of Data Quality (DQI) errors and promptly notify the respective Squads for timely resolution.

6. Closely follow-up and facilitate vulnerabilities & penetration testing issues resolution through independent point of view between the squads and CISO.

7. Play a key facilitator role during Audit and regular controls (SOX, monthly sample checks,...)

8. Prepare reports and provide weekly update to ING management on ITRMP Risk controls, LCM
activities, open vulnerabilities, ..

The team and department

  • You will join the area Retail Lending
  • The area consists of around 60 engineers (front-end, back-end, ops, pega, cobol mainframe), located in Brussels, India and Manilla
  • In the coming years the area will continue to work on strategic digitalization, automation and migrate to NBP target applications like Profile and Loxon.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has a general knowledge of ING IT Risk governance and processes and affinity with IT.  Experience in a software development team in either one of these roles: IT Business Analyst/IT Integrator/ Developer is a plus.
