Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a TCF intern who will have the opportunity to support TCF activities within the Front Office and Transaction Management Office (TMO). A key role to provide strong support to the TCF clients’ needs through close co-operation within TCF and various internal stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
Front Office
Client Management
Together with the Account Officer (AO), you have the responsibility to help the AO in managing banking services (including transactional trade finance products) offered to clients (or prospective clients)
Liaise with clients within the portfolio in deal management / transaction requests and ensuring that proposed deals are in conformity of the bank’s risk appetite and/or approved credit facility parameters
Work closely with TMO and relevant departments (including Risk, Operations, Financial Markets, and other product partners) to ensure smooth and timely execution of transactions, and timely completion of credit reviews/credit modifications
Assist in credit & operational tasks including credit reviews, customer due diligence management, call reports, covenant monitoring and management reporting
Participate in ad-hoc projects or assignments, reporting, commercial and clients’ meetings where necessary
TMO
Transaction Management
Together with the TMO officer, you will be the main contact point for clients in the entire trade cycle of their transactions
Work closely with AO and relevant departments (including Risk, Operations) to ensure smooth and timely execution of transactions
Perform independent transactional risk analysis including evaluation of its associated collateral quality and performance risks, ensuring adherence to the approved credit facility parameters and general guidelines, procedures (including Compliance). Prepare and obtain the appropriate transactional approval in accordance with the approval procedures.
Ensure timely setup of facility parameters in relevant bank systems. Monitor and manage supporting collaterals including assessment of the collateral quality; perform the appropriate collateral valuation including paper hedges relating to the physical cargo throughout the life cycle of the transaction
Handle clients’ daily cash flow transactions including deposits, remittances and attend to enquiries from clients
Participate in ad-hoc projects or assignments, reporting, commercial and clients’ meetings where necessary
What are the skill and qualification requirements of the role?
Minimum GPA of 3/4 or equivalent
Good analytical skills, with keen interest to find out more.
Resourceful and willingness to work with clients / stakeholders for solutions.
