Your role & work environment

As a Fund Manager, you will be part of the team that manages a growing number of ING proprietary Funds specially designed to answer our client needs. This team is part of the Benelux ING Investment Office, lead by the Chief Investment Officer.

The Benelux Investment Office (IO) creates a coherent global vision on the economic and financial environment and evaluates market risks and opportunities, creating an investment strategy that supports ING Belgium across all segments. In line with risk management and based on client profiles, the IO defines an optimal asset allocation and manages funds specifically dedicated to ING clients.

The Benelux Investment Office team consists of more than 50 specialists in Brussels, Amsterdam and Luxemburg.

Your key responsibilities

Manage proprietary ING Funds with the dedicated team of the Investment Office

  • You are managing the equities layer of the fund (total AuM 4 billions) for which you are accountable for the risk/return
  • You follow the financial markets and its developments.
  • Daily management of several compartments, respecting the investment strategy defined by ING IO Market Leaders, the prospectus guidelines and all regulations (UCITS, etc). You will pay a lot of attention to risk management & compliance (ex-ante, ex-post) and Operational Excellence.
  • Close cooperation with all internal & external stakeholders: ISIM, the Management company of ING Group based in Luxembourg, Tribe Investments, internal & external equity research, custody bank, fund administrator, etc.
  • Provide all information for reporting, risk management and communication purpose.
  • Support all commercial efforts to promote the ING Funds, this internally, but also externally.
  • Be an ambassador of the Investment Office Market Leaders !

As an Investment Specialist Funds (Portfolio Manager), you will also need:

  • A Master degree in Finances or Economics and/or equivalent through experience;
  • You have deep knowledge and experience in Investments (mutual funds & sicavs), Fund management or portfolio management
  • You are driven by Operational Excellence and are customer focused
  • You have a proven track record in a similar role
  • A good knowledge of English, Dutch and French
  • An excellent knowledge of Information Data providers (Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, Morningstar, Sustainalytics), Portfolio Management Systems, Excel or other financial software.
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills: you assure that things go smoothly and “First Time Right”;
  • You love collaborating with different people but are also able to function autonomously.
  • You take initiative and make things happen thanks to your problem solving skills & ‘can-do’ attitude, quickly & accurately.
  • Communication skills

  • Stress resistant
  • Qualification like CFA, CEFA is a plus
  • Proven track record (risk/return)
