Feature engineer - Functional Analyst

Responsabilities:

  • Receives and analyzes business needs and requirements in order to guide the choice of the more suitable IT solution. Ensure that the proposed solutions meet the initial requirements while being technically feasible;
  •  Draws up specifications based on the requirements gathered, producing specific documentation detailing how the system should operate;
  •  Identifies GAPs with current processes and behaviours of IT Applications
  •  Act as a SPOC for new initiatives evaluation, audit activities, IT Risk;
  • Functional specifications are also accompanied by specific documentation on the test cycles to be performed, designed in collaboration with QA Managers;
  • Collaborate with the test team to ensure that results are aligned with requirements and that the software works as expected;
  • Sharing the specifications with the technical team, consisting of developers and solution architects, to ensure that the requirements are understood and implemented correctly;
  • Creates user manuals and may be involved in training end users or the support team;
  • Manages variations or change requests that may arise in post-production or during development as changes to initial requirements;
  • Level 2 Analysis of Production Issues to ensure wether the reported application behaviour is or is not the expected;

 

Technical, Language and other Specialized skills:

  • Required general functional analysis experience in Retail and Corporate Banking with particular focus on Projects for Small Medium enterprise;
  • Strong Knowledge of Regulators and regulations required in financial industry (local and European);
  • Good English (written and spoken);
  • MS office (ppt – excel - word);
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven analytical approach;
  • Confidentiality;
  • Effective in communication (verbal and written);
  • Passion for details;
  • Proactivity;
  • Excellent in execution.
     

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in functional analysis for a software company, working on regulatory projects;
  • Good understanding of business operations in one or several of the following key areas: AML, Transparency, Data Protection, Client Protection (i.e.: Fraud), Basilea 4, “Vigilanza Bancaria” (Single supervisory mechanism), MIFID, Regulatory Reporting, etc;
  • Excellent data analysis skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Italian and English;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors);
  • Experience working with solution delivery teams utilizing agile methodologies;
  • Experience working with multi-location teams, multiple business partners and stakeholders;
  • Ability to build relationships across a global organization, build trust and influence internal and external stakeholders;
  • Aptitude for technology;
  • Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content;
  • Strong risk awareness;
  • Result oriented;
  • Excellence in execution.

Educational Qualifications:

  • University degree (preferably in Economics, Informatic, Engineering, Political Science or Law).
