The Mission
You will work in ING’s Open Banking program. The Open Banking program helps ING to further stimulate innovation, improve customer experiences and create new business models using API technology. This platform serves all of ING’s markets, business lines and countries and our key strategic goal is to enable new use cases, improve capabilities and user experience of the Open Banking platform. You will work with multi-disciplinary squads, architects, IT Analysts, product owners and developers.
One of the applications you will be working on is a web application used for PSD2 use cases.
Your day-to-day
- Writing code in a Javascript environment – web components;
- Support for functional analysts;
- Workload estimations during the planning sessions;
- Advice, appraisal and code review;
- Pooling and sharing of knowledge on new applications and technologies used;
- Investigate and give resolutions for defects (in test, acceptance or production environments);
- Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process;
- Programming new applications and making changes in the existing ones;
- Translating functional analysis into technical analysis and developments, together with the parties involved;
- Create release documents to support the deployments and the software after release;
- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance;
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code;
- Ensure designs are compliant to the specifications;
- Prepare and produce releases of software components;
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting them for architectural review;
- Write unit tests.
What you bring to the team
Experience: At least 4 years of experience with web development in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3;
Tech stack/ knowledge:
- Working experience with Web Components (e.g.: Lit);
- Working experience with web testing runners (e.g.: Mocha, Karma, Chai);
- Understanding of how RESTful APIs work;
- Working experience with build tools like Webpack and Rollup;
- Working experience with continuous deployment and continuous integration;
- Experience of working in a cross-functional, Agile team;
- Experience working with a framework (Angular, React, etc) is a plus;
- Foreign languages: English (advanced)
- Education: University/Master degree in Information Technology.
