Job Overview
Circle Cost Modelling & Consolidation Services is a part of Super Circle ‘MA, MI and Cost management’ with teams in Netherlands and ING Hubs Philippines within Global Chief Operations Officer (COO) Finance organisation.
The purpose of COOF: We are the heartbeat of Finance enabling excellence.
As a Circle Lead you report hierarchically to the Super Circle Lead MA, MI and Cost Management.
The Management Accounting, Management Information and Cost Management Super Circle focuses on the execution and control of management accounting, reporting and cost management including designated risk services. Besides, the super circle is responsible for meeting agreed service levels and continuous improvement of the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the services. The activities within the super circle are grouped into five (5) introduced circles:
- Cost Invoicing & Recharges Services is vital in organizing, recording, and processing cost invoices and (intercompany) recharges, contributing to up-to date financial systems and compliant settlement of costs invoices. The team is to ensure that data is accurately recorded, managed, and processed within systems, and that business events and related tasks are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant (control) standards.
- Cost Modelling & Allocation Services is vital in organizing, recording, and processing cost models and related cost allocations contributing to up-to date financial systems and compliant settlement of costs invoices. The team is to ensure that data is accurately recorded, managed, and processed within systems, and that business events and related tasks are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant (control) standards.
- MA Data & Consolidation Services is vital in organizing, recording, and processing various types of data, contributing to up-to date management accounting systems and datasets. The team is to ensure that data is accurately recorded, managed, and processed within systems, and that business events and related tasks are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant (control) standards.
- MI Reporting Services is to provide accurate and timely information to support performance monitoring, decision-making, and internal communication. It plays an important role in collecting, analysing, and presenting data and insights to key stakeholders within the organization.
As Circle Lead Cost Modelling & Consolidation Services you are responsible for:
- organizing process of recording and processing cost invoices and (intercompany) recharges, contributing to up-to date financial systems, settlement of costs invoices, ensure data accuracy and compliance with relevant (control) standards
- creating a strong business proposal for onboarding of the new locations
- building trust and clear communication with the service consumers
- bringing the services to a higher quality level by constantly discovering possibilities for efficiency improvement
- managing team in achieving its (long term) objectives by providing strategic direction, coaching on the job, defining the roadmap, setting the standards and takes responsibility for developing, innovating, and safeguarding knowledge; discussing career development and empowering the team members to thrive and perform at their best.

- Stakeholder Engagement - Identify and manage stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business information and decisions.
- Performance Management - Manage and report on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives. Policy Development & Implementation - Develop procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.
- Functional Strategic Formation - Contribute to the formation of a key element of functional strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs. Operational Compliance - Monitor and review performance and behaviour’s within area of responsibility to identify and resolve non-compliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.
- Organisational capability building - Identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development to build their professional capabilities. Coach and mentor the people in your line of responsibility to support the development of the COOF talent pool.
- Policies and procedures development - Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols in your scope of responsibility to ensure the department complies with regulations and good financial practice.

- Masters Degree (University / Postgraduate)
- ~10 years of experience in area of expertise and relevant experience of ~5 years in planning and managing resources to deliver objectives
- Agility, flexibility and openness to learn and be trained to challenge peers and Management
- Experience with steering on output
- Developing high – performing teams and empowering teams to act autonomously and holding them accountable
- Can manage multiple business partners
