The Mission
ING Tech is looking for an experienced developer who is technically passionate, willing to take the challenges and be part of the Platform Reliability Squad.
You will join the Platform Reliability squad which is responsible for keeping the platform highly available and stable. This means that you will have to work with a variety of different challenges, from technical to security related. Around the team is a variety of developer squads. Who you will be working with and supporting. A great energetic team with lots of humor!
Your day-to-day
- Supporting internal customers and troubleshooting critical production issues across platforms and applications as required
- Carry out production deployments, identifying and patching vulnerabilities with Change management in mind.
- Building and maintaining monitoring and reporting frameworks (Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana)
- Provide the evidence to cover the required IT Risk Controls
- React to incidents and perform standby activities with the rest of the team.
- Automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (virtual machines)
- Various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, RHEL, Kibana, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools, Docker, Axway (File transfer)
- Manage, generate, sign application certificates (SSL, TLS)
What you bring to the team
- Experience: more than 3 years
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred
- Experience working in LINUX environments (sysadmin, patching, debugging)
- Relevant experience in an Ops/DevOps/IT Risk (worked with it risk methodology, tools, techniques and concepts)
- Familiar with IT Security concepts and terminology related to applications, databases, operating systems, and IT operations (patching, vulnerability scanning, backup strategy, zero-day vulnerabilities, DR exercise, Penetration tests)
- Strong risk based, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (ip routing, firewall, security)
- Some experience Monitoring Tooling like Prometheus and ElasticStack (using these tools) is nice to have.
- A desire to learn new technologies and evolve with an ever changing industry
- Accurate in documenting and following procedures
- Confrontable to discuss incidents, changes with external Vendors.
- Good knowledge of relational databases;
Nice to have
- Experience and knowledge with messages busses/queueing systems like Kafka and preferably Tibco EMS.
- Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and automated deployment on both container and non-container platforms.
- Developing experience with Python, Java or GoLang.
- Experience with Oracle.
