The mission

Within ING, there is ING Analytics (INGA) - a major driving force in its digital transformation of the bank. By creating measurable value for ING and its customers through world-class analytics products and services, INGA helps ING to become a data-driven leader. Among others, INGA delivers call & speech analytics, generative AI in risk summarization, insights into portfolio performance, advanced ESG data insights (commercial purposes), data analytics platforms (cloud and on-premises), and many more.

We are looking for a Data Scientist NLP to join us in Bucharest. In this role, you will be responsible for scoping, developing, validating, and documenting solutions using Generative AI and LLM which are at the core of the products that INGA develops. You will collaborate closely with other scientists and analysts in evaluating model performance to ensure the best possible performance.

We are looking for curious and empathetic individuals who are committed to developing themselves and learning new skills. We hire people based on an evaluation of their potential and support them throughout their time in Bucharest. Come join us!

Your day to day

A typical day for a data scientist NLP starts with coffee, catching up with colleagues, and drafting a plan for the coming day. After the standup, you will start designing and implementing solutions using generative AI and LLM technologies, analyzing and interpreting business hypotheses, and exploring datasets. Based on the data, you will recommend new ideas to business stakeholders and collaborate with other team members to bring advanced models to production.

After lunch, you organized a knowledge-sharing session to help model users understand the data science principles and explain the model behavior and possible corrective actions.
