Overview:

The Global Data Quality team implements ING's Data Quality strategy globally, ensuring top-tier data standards. Data is one of the foundations of ING’s strategy to become one data-driven digital bank, where we need more granular data of high quality to manage the (customer-) processes, modeling, and decision-making.

As the Data Quality Circle Lead, you will lead teams that partner with data owners, data stewards, operational teams, and other functions within the bank to operationalize ING’s data strategy and fulfill our data promises. You are also expected to work closely with the DQ Super Circle Lead, the DQ Product Lead and the DQ Product Owners to develop and execute ING’s data quality strategy and roadmap, preparing plans to deliver priorities and monitoring progress on initiatives and day-to-day activities

If you are good at:

  • Leading a team of Data Quality Experts/Professionals, providing guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to best practices and standards
  • Executing the DQ strategy on all aspects covering the run part of Data Quality Operations, to feed into the broader Global Data Quality strategy
  • Leading teams across a wide range of activities, which include but not limited to data quality rules definition, implementation, data quality scores monitoring, data quality issue management and resolutions.
  • Working with key stakeholders to provide best-in-class services in line with set KPIs
  • Ensuring expected turnaround times for remediation are actively monitored and remediation SLAs met.
  • Identifying team capabilities needed to meet current and emerging needs, evaluating current skills, identifying gaps, and prioritizing development activities.
  • Driving strategic priorities and translating these into executable plans and actions.
  • Building mature, high-performing teams, removing impediments for the delivery of the service, and effectively manage issues or escalations, if any.
  • Growing DQ craftsmanship and optimizing our workforce across DQ portfolios and initiatives.
  • Driving and fostering a culture of inclusive cross-border collaboration, bridging cultural differences between multiple locations
  • Executing risk & control compliance and mitigating business and operational risks; ensuring regulatory compliance across the circle.

If You are/have:

  • A graduate of Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record in driving change and leading operations at senior level in different domains of the banking/financial industry,
  • An experienced manager, having effectively led teams, bringing impact through inspiring and energetic leadership, including high cultural sensitivity
  • Aptitude to empower teams to act autonomously, think out of the box, and be accountable.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and drive operational excellence.
  • Able to understand the business context and regulatory requirements in order to provide qualitative services.
  • Skilled in communicating on complex topics and solutions and open to ideas from others.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to swiftly identify core issues.
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated to aiding others' success and staying proactive.
  • Comfortable working in an international context.
  • Transparent, flexible, and motivated to make every day a success.
