Mission

This position is with ING Bank Romania's IT Governance Center of Excellence. The mission of the IT Governance CoE is to orchestrate the governance mechanisms ensuring that the appropriate decisions are made to align IT strategy with business strategy, while keeping the bank safe and compliant. The core of the team is made up of capabilities for Process management, Performance Management, Data Analysis, Knowledge Management. We are looking to find an enthusiastic, Sr. Data Analyst with a passion for Business Intelligence that will enhance the capabilities of our team.

Your day to day

  • Ensures modeling, development and implementation of reporting solutions and data analysis, which include but are not limited to data visualization and reusable data models;
  • Ensures all attributes included in reports and dashboards are documented;
  • Periodically validates the quality of the data delivered to stakeholders;
  • Ensures reports and dashboards are created, updated and kept up to date and in alignment with the data sources;
  • Responsible to automate manually produced reports using business analytics tools;
  • Responsible to implement, monitor and report IT process KPIs and measurements;
  • Produces and evaluates data coming from different sources in order to proactively identify trends that lead to improvement opportunities for the process/services;
  • Responsible of monitoring and reporting agreed KPIs locally and within the ING Group within the designated time frame and quality standards;
  • Ensures metrics are aligned locally and within ING group and is responsible to identify and flag data inconsistencies;
  • Responsible to collect new business requirements and develop reports and dashboards that would meet those needs - meeting with stakeholders to document and clarify reporting needs;
  • Analyses reporting needs and offers data visualization solutions that match the needs;
  • Takes on as person of contact for IT Governance when it comes to distributing reports and dashboards and collects and implement feedback received.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor degree (IT/Cybernetics/Economy/Mathematics);
  • Minimum 3 years experience in previous role that involved reporting, data analysis, data mining, data visualization;
  • Previous experience in data analysis;
  • Experience in defining and developing KPIs through process analysis and transversal data models;
  • Good understanding of SQL, Dax, M language and tabular models;
  • Technical expertise with data models, data base development and data mining techniques;
  • Good knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI reporting Server. Knowledge about other business intelligence tools ((Cognos, SAS, Qlikview, MicroStrategy, Qliksense, Tableau etc) is a plus;
  • Applied knowledge of IT processes (as defined by ITIL) is a plus;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user (Excel and PowerPoint are a must).
