Change Expert

Job Level: 17 - 18 based on your acquired competencies.

ING is looking for a Change Expert with experience in managing projects! Do you want to realize complex and strategic changes in the Operational Accounting and NFR Operations environment?

The Team

The Operational Accounting and NFR Operations chapter within the Centre of Expertise Safe Business consists of three capabilities: Monitoring, Supporting, and Advice.

The Operational Accounting team is the link between the different Tribes/Client Services departments and Finance to ensure a seamless end-to-end accounting flow between the customer and the general ledger of ING BE. We fulfill this role through three missions:

  • Monitoring the booking process to protect ING’s reputation and offer a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting for operational booking issues with P&L impact.
  • Building efficient operational processes with our stakeholders for bookings to be reviewed.

To achieve our missions, we aim for One Smart Data Driven WoW for Operational Accounting Risk Management, supported by Experts. This strategy enables us to step in and make it happen whenever there is a high-priority change or incident with a transversal impact. That is why our purpose is to be the top-of-mind partner to accelerate high-impact change, especially with the “New banking platform” on the roadmap.

The NFR Operations team supports different Tribes/Client Services departments in fulfilling their Non-Financial Risk activities such as Sox and Non-Sox testing, individual rights requests, and registration of “Data breach” GDPR.

As a Change Expert within this domain, you support the changes in Operational Accounting and NFR support. You are responsible for the data and tooling strategy, reporting requirements, and change management for risk-related issues, and you also lead the execution.

You oversee, lead, monitor progress, and actively support strategic projects to achieve our objectives in the transformation for Operational Accounting and NFR Operations.

Your role includes:

Project Management: Manage the progress of the change roadmap within this domain, ensuring the timely completion of milestones, in line with internal standards, policies, and governance.

Change Execution: Supervise the progress of the change roadmaps, nurturing the change mindset and the risk culture related to the changing environment.

Maintain strong collaboration with the team and all stakeholders: Understand the business needs and priorities, ensuring that the project aligns with the ING strategy. You can act as the representative (or delegate) at meetings on strategy or implementation for Operational Accounting and NFR Operations.

Gather and process information: As a foundation to advise and support the team, the Chapter lead, and the Area Head of Safe Business, prepare plans to deliver on the set priorities and follow up on progress.

In other words, you strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast-changing and complex environment. You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems. You are data driven.

  • Accounting Experience: Proven experience in accounting is a must. You should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices and be able to apply this knowledge to manage and support changes in the Operational Accounting environment.
  • Change Management: We expect experience and a proven track record in Change Management and/or consultancy/product/process management.
