Job Overview & Your working environment 

Do you get excited about initiating process automation with tangible impact and applying your automation and coordination expertise to support ING in achieving its strategy? Are you interested in enabling the Finance Domain work force to focus on their value add activities? Then this role is definitely appealing to you! We are looking for an Alteryx scripter to deliver automation solutions to the ING organisation.

In this role you will be working in the OPEX (Operational Excellence) team, the driving force for achieving excellence within the operations domain of Finance. The OPEX team is part of the COO Finance organization.

From the team not only an automation skill set is brought towards the organization, also Operational Excellence and sourcing solutions are provided via the team of experts. The team increases the scalability of the organization via process standardisation and automation of finance processes, contributes to data quality improvement and onboarding trajectories. Additionally, the change portfolio is positioned within the OPEX team. The team stimulates a continuous improvement mindset and is constantly looking for ways to create more efficient processes. Doing so, the team has an important role in the transformation of the Finance department to a Centre of Excellence.

As an scripter you love to automate processes. You are experienced in automation via Alteryx and willing to learn Automation Anywhere, Power BI and Power Automate. You are responsible for translating the business requirements brought by Business Analysts into technical scalable solution. Next to that you have a collaborative mindset. You enjoy coaching your colleagues and helping them increase their knowledge and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Alteryx  scripter willing to learn how to automate via other applications as well.

You’ll be involved in:

  • solution design

analyze what the most stable and scalable Alteryx solution is for the requirements brought to you via the Business Analyst. You are considering re-usable components from other solutions and scalability

  • scripting

the development of a robust and scalable Alteryx flow to replace the current process. In this scripting the variety of available features in Alteryx is utilized

  • testing

facilitate and join peer reviews and ensure user acceptance of the solution

  • Set best practices and standards

Ensure that the proven technologies and best practices are taken into account in the scripting standards

  • Maintenance

you are involved in the maintenance of the processes which are brought live

 Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

  • Competent in using Alteryx (with understanding of SQL / XML) (Must have)
  • Competent in using MS Excel (Must have)
  • Fluent in English (Must have)
  • TECH affinity
  • Experience with banking industry
  • Analytical skills and attention for detail
  • Pro-active
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong team player (ability to connect, positive mind-set, flexibility, focused on cooperation and sharing knowledge)
  • University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of scrum and experience with agile way of working
