The global credit risk department is a motivated team specialized in credit risk. Our goal is to set the global credit risk strategy and appetite and to monitor, challenge and improve credit risk management on a continuous basis. We are a sparring and sounding partners for our internal stakeholders, and to our regulators and supervisors. We aim to set the credit risk tone in all its aspects. We are looking for an energetic, creative and delivery-oriented business manager supporting the Global Head of Credit Risk and the Credit Risk Management Team (CR MT).

The team

The Global Credit Risk department:

  • Sets credit risk strategies and the credit risk appetite.

  • Monitors and analyses the credit risk position of ING, creating an aggregated and complete view on credit risk management.

  • Owns and maintains the credit risk framework, policies, and governance.

  • Leads or participates in important projects like CRR III, Distressed Debt and ESG.

  • Manages relations with regulators, supervisors, industry associations on credit risk.

  • Is responsible for the performance dashboard of ING’s ratings systems.

  • Collaborates with a wide array of internal stakeholders, particularly Retail Risk and WB Risk.

Roles and responsibilities

Our Business Manager:

  • Acts as a sparring partner and sounding board to the CR MT.

  • Prepares, minutes and facilitates MT meetings and employee gatherings.

  • Assists in and drives larger and complex projects, initiating improvement and remediation activities.

  • Prepares communications and presentations for various key stakeholders and therefore has excellent powerpoint and excel skills

  • Coordinates and organises offsites.

  • Pro-actively recommends and implements improvements.

  • Ensures representation, compliancy to and protection against non-financial risks.

  • Is the linking pin between us and other teams taking credit risk and sets up successful collaborations with others.

  • Develops and maintains elaborate networks with the ability to create opportunities.

You:

  • Are fluent in speaking and writing English.

  • Have a master’s degree or equivalent.

  • Are a superb communicator, creating inspiring presentations and short, snappy briefings.

  • Pro-actively build relationships with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Have the ability to value different perspectives, thinking critical and independently.

  • Can handle change, are a self-starter combining this with excellent organisational skills, a structured way of working and attention to detail.

  • Have the ability to identify problems. Discussing and solving them with the CR MT.

  • Have strong analytical & reading skills, able to understand, digest & interpret quickly.

  • Have the ability to get people on board, being thorough and persuasive.
