Responsibilities:

  • Be a key actor in the delivery of the branch’s strategy: participating and advising the strategy creation with the management team and country manager, promoting the strategy locally and at Group level with the head of communication, coordinating the strategy execution with the key stakeholders. Preparing (i) the strategic plan related presentations, (ii) presentations on the actions carried out by the teams and the department's performance (ii) presentations with a more strategic dimension (iii) the Quarterly Performance Review (QPR) as well as the monitoring of all KPIs with the EMEA region.
  • Playing a crucial role in the management team (MT) meetings, with responsibility of coordinating the executive committees (agenda coordination, content review, minutes including decision logs and actions) and actively follow-up the action plan with the key stakeholders
  • Act as an agent of change by leading cross-functional transformation projects. The Business Manager will be involved in projects concerning organisational changes within the bank, working alongside other stakeholders and teams to deliver on these change projects
  • Proactively manage priorities and timelines for workload, taking a structured approach to setting realistic and achievable timelines and notifying the MT of any deviations or concerns with meeting these deadlines. Challenging current organization and way of working to improve productivity at all company levels.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and confident for not only the MT, but all other colleagues that will have regular connections with the Business Manager
  • Act as the point of contact (i) for the various support functions in France: Risk, COO, Tech, Finance, Human Resources, Communications, and (ii) also for the Group and the functional lines. Be the gate keeper for the country governance and strategic committees, in line with the group’s framework and CRO supervision.
  • Managing the team of Management Assistants and working alongside them to organise WB Committee meetings: planning, agendas, invited participants, preparation of the information pack, drafting of minutes and action plan, follow-up of identified action points

In all your missions, you will ensure that you work efficiently and constructively with all your internal and external contacts.

This job positions yourself ideally to evolve in the ING group, in France or internationally, in front office or support functions roles.

Experience:

  • You have a BAC+5. (Master 2 or business school with a specialization in Finance)
  • 5+ years working in an international finance environment, ideally in banking but not only (eg consulting, insurance); either front office or cross functional support functions
  • You have a good grasp of the basic concepts of finance, management control and project management. Experience in all MT areas is not essential, however a good general understanding of these areas is required
  • You have clear, well-founded and structured communication skills and the ability to make oral or written presentations in French and English
  • You have the ability to work in an international and multicultural environment and to interact with different types of contacts.
  • You have a good command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

  • A flair for teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, with strong multitasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English and French)
  • Strategic and commercial sense, ability to establish long-term relationships with sponsors
