Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Engineer to join our Evolving Assets team of Engineering Platform tribe.

The responsibility of this team is to develop and maintain the Middleware layer in Genoma (DAs and MRPCTech Java microservices) while operating these assets, pointing to an excellent way of working on its operational procedures. We as a team are constantly looking for the maximum efficiency in our procedures, resources and automatisms while keeping our first-class standards for Security, ITRisk and FinOps.

Your key responsibilities:

As an Engineer you will contribute to our efforts of delivering a best-in-class platform that can serve our internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on customer-centricity and developer experience. You will develop, maintain, refactor, and evolve cross-organization, highly critical software, co-creating the next generation of our products and services so that we can keep having a positive impact for the next twenty years.

We, as a platform team, have as our main stakeholders the Tribe’s engineers, therefore we are focused on delivering efficient solutions for lots of engineers to improve their delivery in all aspects: quality code, delivered as scheduled, in a secure and compliant way, using an efficient and elastic infrastructure.

  • Proven software development skills (experience with Java is a plus).
  • Knows how to develop software that is maintainable in the long term, easy to change, performant, and resilient.
  • Good understanding of design patterns and when to use which.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle tools such as git, Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Good English communication skills, verbal as well as written.
  • Can work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Makes things happen thanks to his/her ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Is a team player.
  • Takes the initiative for improving processes, and ensuring creative ideas are implemented.
  • Is an example of our Orange Code culture, displaying a positive attitude, commitment towards our goals, accountability, eagerness to learn and it is not afraid of change.
