Human Resources
Kickstart your career at the cutting edge of HR
As a HR trainee, you’ll make a real difference to our culture. You’ll help embed HR strategy throughout our organisation, impacting 52,000 employees working across the globe. And you’ll start doing it all from day one.
We’re changing what it means to be a bank
Banking and the world around us is changing: new competitors, new ways of banking, constantly evolving customer needs. To stay ahead, we need to keep innovating – not just in our products and services, but in how we work and how we develop as an organisation.
Real challenges. Real responsibility.
HR plays a pivotal role in helping us achieve the changes we need to make. As a HR trainee, you’ll be involved in important projects from the outset. You’ll gain expertise at the cutting edge of organisational design, talent management and performance management.
Develop your HR expertise with a true pioneer
We’re known as an innovator in finance. But we’re also leading the field in HR practices. In 2015 we adopted Agile working methods – one of the largest traditional organisations to make that shift. We’ve also transitioned to an open working culture where employees are given greater levels of trust, freedom and responsibility. And, as the first bank to offer a HR traineeship, we’re pioneers here too.
