As a Senior Business Control Officer you facilitate risk identification, provide oversight of the health of control environment, and drive the execution of the risk management deliverables within the Analytics department in ING. This role is crucial in ensuring the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess sound banking experience either in risk management, consultancy or technology area.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Identifies, assesses, and monitors operational risks, ensuring they are managed within the organization’s risk appetite.
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and coordinates the follow up of the identified mitigating measures implementation
- Leads risk assessments, including risk identification, analysis, and evaluation.
- Collaborates with various departments to ensure effective risk management practices are integrated into business processes.
- Provides expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of risk management practices, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Stays abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operational risk management.
Monitors status of risk issues, supports various departments in implementing adequate controls in each tested area - In charge with Business Continuity Management (BCM), including the continuous monitoring of Business Continuity Plans for other ING departments or entities, yearly awareness sessions for BCP coordinators and yearly review and updates of the entire pack (e.g., Crisis Management Plan, BCM Framework, BCM Strategy)
- Informs management and propose solutions to implement the set of directives within the framework and local policies on non-financial risk, as instructed by the ING Group and best practice in the field
- Organizes and/ or participates in gap analysis activities related to the implementation of new control standards and/ or new tooling and processes
- Conducts research using primary data sources and selects information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
- Intakes of ING Group projects requirements and coordinates their implementation, where applicable
- Maintains the relationship with other functional lines and transforms the business entities’ requirements into operational activities, monitoring their implementation
- Back-up for management of Key Controls, like: planning and implementation, key controls testing (KCT) execution and monitoring based on test plans
What you bring to the team
- 3-5 years of experience in internal control/ internal audit/ operational risk management/ business continuity management
- Previous experience in risk management in banking sector, technology (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IT architect, IT engineer) or IT consultancy
- Control oriented and analytical thinking/ judgement aimed on assessing specific risks
- A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization
- English is mandatory
Wage (gross)
- 2 510 EUR/month
- *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
