Our ING Hubs Slovakia organization is becoming the expertise center for our first line of defense for area of Non-Financial risk. We are searching for an enthusiastic lead for our growing team of experts to set the standards for their expertise area and take responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the NFR field. You will act in the field of business risk and control function to ensure that ING's activities and the integrity of products, services and employees are in line with the regulatory requirements and run smoothly in such a way that it can be demonstrated to the regulators and the outside world.
As part of your job, you are expected to create and maintain a structural and positive relationships with the business (SPOC) and 2nd line of defense (risk functions).
You will possess adequate knowledge of the business (organizational, process, people) and the corresponding value chain and you are up to date with business developments with NFR impact.

As an Expert lead, you are also an Expert in the field and responsible to develop the craftsmanship of your team and take part in day to day activities in part of your capacity (as Senior Business Control Officer). You will be a point of contact for the key stakeholders within ING Analytics organization of ING and liaison responsible for the accurate workforce and capacity planning, management and prioritization of the backlog of your team and responsible for translating the ING Analytics strategies into the particular tasks.
In your capacity as a Senior Business Control Officer, you facilitate risk identification, provide oversight of the health of control environment, and drive the execution of the risk management deliverables. You are responsible for ensuring the completion of Risk and Control Self-Assessments of various processes within the organization.
Your Day-to-Day activities in the expert field might involve:
- Providing support to the management during the risk identification, measurement and monitoring of risks and advice on risk issues
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and coordinates the follow up of the identified mitigating measures
- Monitoring iRisk issues status, supports various departments in implementing adequate controls in each tested area•
- Informing management and propose solutions to implement the set of directives within the framework and local policies on non-financial risk, as instructed by the ING Group and best practice in the field
- Organizing and/ or participating in gap analysis activities related to the implementation of new control standards and/ or new tooling and processes
- Conducting research using primary data sources and selects information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
- Intaking of ING Group projects requirements and coordinates their implementation, where applicable
- Maintaining the relationship with other functional lines and transforms the business entities’ requirements into operational activities, monitoring their implementation

What you bring to the team:
- 3-5 years of experience in internal control/ internal audit/ operational risk management
- Previous experience in risk management in banking sector, technology (cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, IT architect, IT engineer) or IT consultancy
- 1-3 years of previous (people) leadership experience
- Control oriented and analytical thinking/ judgement aimed on assessing specific risks
- A real team player with excellent written and oral communication skills while interacting with many departments within the organization
Wage (gross)
- 3 130 EUR/month
- *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
