The team | Squad

Our Security Toolkit team focusses on preventing fraud in the customer environment. With the development of AI and focus of fraudsters on scams, the financial health of our customers is at stake. By joining our team, you will contribute to helping the customers to be confident in digital banking and providing the tooling to protect themselves against financial damage by fraud.

Roles and responsibilities

As a Product Manager - at Fraud we call this position 'Fraud Management Product Expert' - within the Prevention area of the Fraud department, you will collaborate with colleagues across the bank to enhance our service to customers and internal teams. Your role involves balancing an exceptional (digital) customer experience with the imperative of security in combatting fraud. You will translate fraud developments  into tangible improvements for our customers, demonstrating a passion for reliable solutions. In a fast-paced environment, you will take the initiative, think critically, and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the business representative, steering IT development, defining customer requirements, aligning (senior) stakeholders, testing and implementing new features. These features are on the edge of using behavioral science to help our customers protecting themselves against scams. We are looking for fraud preventive measures that raise awareness on scams and protect against fraud but at the same time do not impede our banking journeys
  • Thinking from scratch on new features based on science or competitive analyses and bring them to our customers together with our IT, business colleagues in and outside of our department
  • Proposing and implementing improvements in our services based on data analysis and customer feedback
  • Collaborating with multiple product managers, engineers, and the product lead to create a digitization roadmap aligned with ING's growth ambitions
  • Taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, and driving creative solutions while considering risks and mitigating measures
  • Ensuring continuity and quality of data and services, supporting consumers of our services

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a complex Agile environment
  • Experience in refining and implementing new features and functionality
  • Strong affinity with IT and understanding of complex IT landscapes, enabling you to challenge Architecture and engineering experts
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to take ownership of team processes, from vision to maintenance
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse (senior) stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to seeking and providing feedback
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English languages, both verbal and written
  • Relevant education at least at HBO/bachelor level
