As an Expert lead Integrated Non-Financial Risk ING NL you will play an important role in implementing the strategy of Non-Financial Risk (NFR) by creating a data driven, risk-based and effective and efficient Non-Financial Risk management.
The Expert Lead Integrated NFR is responsible for all overarching activities within NFR. This is a combination of activities of NFRC secretary, NFRD and other Reporting, Data & Innovation, Coordination and Planning of Risk Assessment, and Strategic Transformation Office. Important part of the job is to set up the data function for NFR DB NL and leading team of experts and data analysts, sets the standards for their expertise area and takes responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the field of expertise.
The Team
You will be managing the Integrated NFR ING NL team, which is part of the Tribe NFR ING NL. The team consist of 6 FTE of Data analysts (4 fte) and NFR specialists (2 fte). The ORM specialists work in an agile way together with DBNL IT Risk specialists of the Tribe NFR ING NL/IRM team.
All Risk management activities will be performed in close alignment with risk specialists from the Group Risk teams, the Risk Hubs, Operational Design Control Resilience (ODCR). For the data part you will work close together with Data Management and align with the other data experts within CRO NL. You will report to the Head of NFR ING NL.
Roles and responsibilities
As Expert Lead Integrated NFR ING NL
You are effectively steering and managing the Integrated NFR ING NL team with end-to-end accountability.
You create a clear vision for the Integrated NFR area (i.e. a data strategy) and deliver the implementation of that vision. Keep up with the rapidly changing external environment (like cybercrime, GenAI and other NFR risks).
Steer on the overarching NFR activities within the Tribe, timely and adequately delivery of the NFRD and NFRC DB NL. Support with pro-active insights based on data and analyses the NFR risk processes, like deep dives, risk assessments and strategic risk assessment.
You create a data analyses environment and increase the data-driven mindset within the Tribe NFR and in Non-Financial Risk Management through the whole bank.
You manage, coach employees and develop talents. You ensure the teams are adequately staffed in terms of both quality and quantity. Create the required environment and enables employees to do their jobs well, both now and in the future. Support employees in the specific expertise, creates a climate of learning and growing and evaluates results and existing knowledge; and
You establish and maintain strong (sustainable) relationships with key stakeholders, focused on a clear understanding of their challenges and opportunities. Navigate distractions and politics to deliver on objectives effectively.

Your technical skills and track record
You have relevant knowledge of Non-Financial Risk framework tools (Strategic and Bankwide Risk Assessments, Scenario Analysis, Projects) and Banking products and processes
You steer fact-based and have proven track record to deliver a data-driven environment and mindset to create an impactful risk-based NFR management.
You are able to set up a data strategy and reporting infrastructure to facilitate the change to a more data driven way of risk management
You have profound experience or knowledge on structure of databases/datalakes and understanding of the capabilities of analyze and business intelligence tools like SAS, Cognos, PowerBI and Excel.
You act with expertise as the organization's authority on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
You use your knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding others on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and operations.
You have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work across risk areas.
You have an excellent level of English (verbal/written)
You have a university degree or equivalent.
You are an experienced senior manager with >10 years of relevant experience.
