We are looking for you, if you:

  • Are an ambitious DevOps Engineer with an experience in database administration and managing PostgreSQL stack who can add value based on his/her in depth technical knowledge,
  • Have experience with Containers infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift),
  • Have experience in Python scripting,
  • Have good understanding of the Linux operating system,
  • Have knowledge of Azure DevOps and GIT,
  • Are customer focused and proactive,
  • Enjoy working in an international team.

 English level - B2

You'll get extra points for:

  • Experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Bash, PowerShell,
  • Experience in Golang programming language,
  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting solutions (Grafana, Prometheus),
  • Experience with FastAPI,
  • Knowledge of automated testing,
  • Knowing Agile/Scrum practice, methodologies and attitudes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build the solution and take ownership as a squad of containerized PostgreSQL environment running on Openshift on our private cloud that we will offer as a service towards INGs DevOps teams worldwide,
  • Design and understand the detailed technical behaviour of your system to deliver high quality support to users,
  • Search and propose solutions using the newest technologies,
  • Design, develop and implement continuous improvement processes through automation. Create and improve Azure DevOps pipelines,
  • Close collaboration within and across the squads and with the consumer,
  • Help your team grow and think of ways to make solutions scalable and future-oriented,
  • Take part in the 24/7 standby schedule after go-live.

Information about the squad:

PostgreSQL is part of the Area Data Services and is all about delivering containerized database services to ING DevOps teams worldwide, including self service capabilities. The PostgreSQL squad, working in different countries (Poland and Netherlands), take responsibility of designing and building the solution to make it available for our consumers. We aim to deliver service based on the latest technologies available on the market.
