An opportunity has become available to become part of the Trading Risk Management (TRM) Rates team department focusing on the automation and process improvement projects impacting TRM Amsterdam. The role of senior Business Analyst will functionally report to the Desk Head of Rates and together with a few other change colleagues you will represent the TRM team.
You will be part of the TRM Rates team that delivers and implements process and system enhancements, but also performs analysis and provides support to other TRM colleagues. The team is part of the FR TRM (Financial Risk – Trading Risk Management) department in Amsterdam. FR TRM is a global department within ING, responsible for product control and market risk management activities.
The core activities of the team are measuring and analysing the day-to-day Profit and Loss (P&L) generated by the trading desk and monitoring and advising on the market risk exposures that are taken in the trading books for FM Amsterdam activities. The team works closely with the Front Office and colleagues in other locations. Next to this, the team is also involved in a variety of regulatory compliance projects and continuous system improvements. You will be expected to work proactively in the team and with stakeholders delivering solutions. Next to this, you will challenge the status quo and continuously look for improvements related to processes and systems.
Roles and responsibilities
The key responsibilities for the role are:
Review, design and deliver process enhancements to support the team with the purpose of reducing UDAs used by the department.
Coordinate and manage change/improvements projects by acting a link between Rates AMS and other stakeholders (IT/FO/other TRM departments)
Analyse complex business problems and propose IT solutions/enhancements.
Provide clear, timely and effective updates on planning and deliveries.
Support TRM colleagues during change management and communicate progress.
Participate actively as to manage QBR processes, i.e., ensuring that TRM requests are prioritised and delivered.
Monitor and manage continuous process improvements and follow up on outstanding issues.
Follow up on ad hoc requests.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you are/have:
Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Maths, Engineering, Econometrics
At least 5+ years market risk and product control experience
Good understanding of financial products, value chain processes and proven analytical skills
Project management experience with ability to manage stakeholders.
Pro-active, open minded, goal driven personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an agile environment.
Strong communicator (verbally and in writing) with attention to the overall picture and detail
A team player who can work independently in a cross-functional and geographically dispersed organisation.
To be able to understand the TRM perspective in key change projects within the value chain.
A flexible approach to complex and urgent requests
To be fluent in English
