The Mission:

We are part of ING Hubs, based in Bucharest.

The Business Banking Project aims to digitally transform the value proposition and service model offered to our Business Banking clients at group level. The aim is to provide a foundation for global development of solutions and features for Business Banking clients.

Your day to day:

You hierarchically oversee a chapter of Devops engineers, including ‘people management’. This covers the recruiting of new talents, administration, personal development, and evaluation of your Chapter members. You inspire and encourage your Chapter members to develop themselves, providing them coaching on both the professional as well as the personal level. This could be part of your personal development as well, if not fully familiar with it at this point in time in your professional career. Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Being an ambassador for cultural change and a role model in terms of the new Agile Way of Working: ensure continuous learning based on feedback, taking into account the different backgrounds of people across cultures and geographies;
  • Sharing passion and expert knowledge in your field of expertise;
  • Highly proficient at helping the organization structure complex engineering issues, aware of different development methodologies, Identity and Access Management, IT Risk control, Infra provisioning, Change Management, CI/CD;
  • Encouraging and facilitating people in the Chapter to continuously develop themselves, both personally and within their area of expertise, so that they remain up-to-date in their field of expertise.
  • Building, improving and maintaining monitoring and reporting frameworks (Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana), including guidance and standardization.
  • Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI
  • Investigate, analyze and document production incidents, according to SLA agreement and urgency;
  • Escalation of incidents to 3rd line support, if needed. Work closely with all parties necessary in order to solve problems;
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the application is functioning as expected;
  • Various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, RHEL, Kibana, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools, Docker, Axway (File transfer), Kubernetes, Nginx.
  • Automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (virtual machines), templates and guidelines
  • Maintain application documentation;
  • Participate in DR/BCP plans.

The DevOps chapter is seeking a leader. The experience we need you to bring to the table:

  • Intimate understanding and key DevOps responsibilities and concepts;
  • Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline processes for fast integration of testing, deployment, and delivery environments;
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels;
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;
  • Hands-on experience in process automation, technology efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Excellent technical documentation skills;
  • Experience with agile software development methodology and practices.
  • Strong  knowledge of SQL
  • Familiar with IT Security concepts and terminology related to applications, databases, operating systems, and IT operations (patching, vulnerability scanning, backup strategy, zero-day vulnerabilities, DR exercise, Penetration tests)
  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana or Prometheus
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines 
  • Experience working in LINUX environments (sysadmin, patching, debugging)
  • Knowledge of MSSQL,Oracle
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (ip routing, firewall, security)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with complex projects

Nice to have

  • Experience with the following technologies is an advantage: Elasticsearch, Logstash,
  • Experience and knowledge with messages busses/queueing systems like Kafka and preferably Tibco EMS.
  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef, and automated deployment on both container and non-container platforms.
  • Developing experience with Python, Java or GoLang.
