Job overview

The Compliance function is looking for a colleague to support in global Compliance activities out of the Compliance Hub (center of expertise) at ING Hubs PH. The Compliance specialist will collaborate with functional leads in planning, structuring, and maintaining oversight of various compliance activities. The Compliance specialist will report hierarchically to the local lead of the Compliance Hub and functionally to functional lead of the Integrated Compliance department at head office in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Integrated Compliance department is responsible for the ING’s global Compliance strategy, global Compliance workforce & location strategy, and undertakes activities to ensure that ING acts according to Group compliance standards, frameworks and integrity guidelines, to keep ING safe, secure and compliant. It is also responsible for collecting, aggregating and translate data about compliance risks into actionable insights. The Compliance Hub at ING Hubs PH, a compliance center of expertise, provides concentrated compliance knowledge and expertise as a central solution for compliance activities to all global ING entities.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the execution of global compliance workforce strategy & location strategy.

  • Perform complex analysis, advises on mitigating actions, and ensures proper actioning is taken by timely resolving issues, including any conditions imposed by the regulator, to remain in ING’s risk appetite.

  • You ensure relevant aspects of internal and external (regulatory) guidelines and developments for are correctly implemented.

  • Due to a growing complexity of policy and regulatory requirements, stakeholders require guidance to navigate all aspects of sourcing and integrated compliance. In this role you facilitate and drive stakeholders (contract owners, local SPOCS, and intragroup service receivers, service providers and service owners) to efficiently manage their obligations and responsibilities. 

  • Collaborate with functional leads and countries drive harmonization & optimization of processes for Compliance activities.  

  • Perform training and awareness actions towards Compliance functional leads.

  • Based on pre-determined data points, facilitate measurement and reporting on activities in scope. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders & help business units onboard to new services in an effective and efficient manner.

  • Support and drive ING entities to meet on an ongoing basis its risk appetite for sourcing; Help design an efficient set- up for Compliance services in line with EBA guidelines and ING Sourcing framework. 

  • Oversee and monitor Compliance activities in your scope.  

  • Provide inputs for Compliance Hub strategy for the short/midterm. 

Key capabilities/experience

  • 3+ years professional experience in contract management/banking/business consultancy.

  • A good understanding of the E2E sourcing process, controls, organization, strategy and our way of working

  • Experience with Retail Banking; Wholesale Banking and Support Functions. 

Minimum qualifications

  • Excellent level of English.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, good communication skills.

  • Well organized and structured, able to prioritize.

  • Good balance between high level and detailed level views and able to understand dependencies, connections and related processes.

  • Tactical thinking and able to find pragmatic solutions.

  • Curious, eager to learn and understand the needs and expectations (challenge the status quo).

  • Able to identify, understand and leverage on good practices from ING Group and market.
