A Chapter lead, sets the standards for the chapter area and takes responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the field of expertise to deliver technical activities related to the continuous delivery of working services for the organization and its customers. Develops and leads people to meet both their individual goals, career goals, organization's goals.

As this is a people and technology leadership, for one of our Squads you will be driving advancement in our engineering practices. You will lead by example and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production ready.

Through collaboration with other developers your work will improve the digital banking experience for our customers and our staff, and as a leader in the software engineering community you will play a key role in the continual advancement of our engineering practices through practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery but you will also remain highly aware of industry trends and bring the best of the global engineering practices to ING.

What you’ll do
 

  • Ensure the delivery of timely, quality solutions by leading the system & contract testing across projects, as required, through effective planning, scheduling, oversight, and execution.

  • Lead & managed multiple cross-geography squads.

  • Contributing to the ongoing quality of both delivery and testing capability.

  • Taking a lead role in the growth of the test automation practice and promoting a quality culture.

  • Writing and maintaining automated test cases and build the regression suite, ensuring continuous improvement of the test automation practice.

  • Actively contribute to initiatives which support the growth and efficiency of the testing discipline.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience leading a team of engineers (mix of on and offshore highly rewarded)

  • Proven experience in the FSI and or Fintech domain.

  • Deep knowledge and hands on test engineering experience

  • Familiarization of the latest automation frameworks and tools with expertise in at least 1-2

  • Experience working on Test management tools like TFS, OnePipeline, etc.

  • A motivated individual to work in dynamic program environment with aptitude towards planning, proactive callouts, and risk mitigations.

  • Core Banking testing experience is desirable.
