Your role …

You will support the ESG Lead in the development and implementation of the Sustainability strategy for ING Belgium.

You will assist the ESG team in the administration, coordination, and monitoring of ING Belgium’s ESG programme. This includes the monthly ESG Obeya sessions (meeting with all key domains working on sustainability) and its monitoring tools (list of ESG initiatives and ESG dashboard), including supporting some of the key workstreams such as ESG Risk, ESG disclosures and our business lines (mortgages, business lending, client engagement, …).

Depending on your affinities, you could work on projects such as: ING Belgium’s CSRD reporting, the integration of ESG factors in risk management practices, ESG training developments, internal ESG audits, the development of sustainable finance products, the development of ING Belgium’s financial health strategy and metrics, the philanthropy strategy, …

Therefore, you will work in close cooperation with an interdisciplinary network to identify and support the implementation of Sustainability requirements stemming from risk to reporting, policies or customer value proposition.

Internship Specifics

  • You will report directly to the ESG Lead and will benefit from additional coaching by one of the ESG team members.
  • Minimum 4 months, with a preference for 6 months
  • Preferably full time
  • 50% working from home and 50% working in the office in Brussels
