Your role & work environment

Within the Finance Business Advice (FBA) department, FBA Data Services team is a pro-active partner empowering the business with valuable and reconciled Management Information concerning P&L and Balance Sheet at overall bank or product and client segment level. 

As an internship in FBA Data Service you will help to interact with Financial Accounting and  Financial Control colleagues by providing them accurate and correct Management Information figures during the monthly closing processes and the Forecast and Dynamic plan scenario’s as well.

Your key responsibilities

You will support the delivery of reliable set of financial data, figures and reports, focused on the allocation of P&L and Balance Sheet over products and client segments within the bank.

With your support, the team will deliver Management Information reports that are fully aligned with the Financial Accounting figures, are answering on the business needs and are in lign with the ING Group Policy Guidelines.

Controls, checks and deep dive analysis on the data quality of your figures will be  in your DNA.

As an internship in FBA Data Services you will also need:

       A bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent (e.g. Economics)

       Basic knowledge of banking balance sheet and banking products

       Strong attitude in working with data and data controls by using tools such as Excel or SAS (Basic programming) or PowerBI or Tableau or Python.

       Well-developed cooperation and communication skills to be able to act as a linking pin and smoothly interact with all departments and colleagues involved.

        Self-starter and result-oriented, critical and a team player: you enjoy contributing to larger topics in collaboration with colleagues in and outside the team
