Trade Advisory & Structuring covers Trade Finance Services (TFS) and Working Capital Solutions (WCS); both are focused on wholesale banking clients with the Transaction Services industry. TFS originates, structures and manages both funded and unfunded traditional trade products. WCS originates, structures and manages (complex) working capital financing solutions (receivables and payables based). We work through our dedicated Trade teams based in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Romania, Singapore and New York, etc. Transaction processing is typically performed through our central teams based in Amsterdam and Brussels with strong support by the regional teams.

Your key responsibilities

  • Support the Deal Principal in structuring large and complex Receivable Finance transactions. This goes from single buyer structures into pool buyer structures.
  • Analyse client needs, identify opportunities and work out proposals for trade receivables purchase transactions with various options (line by line approach, portfolio approach, ABCP trade receivables securitisations)
  • Join client meetings and pitches, become the go to contact person for our clients during the structuring phase of the transaction.
  • Be part of the client interface and the liaison with the internal and external parties involved in the transactions
  • You will be given room to grow towards becoming a technical expert in the matter, be part of a real deal team and experience a transaction structuring process from the front row. As an Analyst/ Associate, you will be a key member of the deal team
  • Get yourself acquainted with legal documentation
  • Craft commercial presentations aimed at explaining the product to internal and external clients
  • Keep the business safe and compliant. Think along on how to improve our processes from a compliance perspective

As a Analyst / Associate you will also need:

  • by preference a relevant experience of around 2 years within either securitisation, a structured finance equivalent role, a Wholesale Banking product role, a Wholesale Banking sales position or in Risk Management.
  • a strong interest in trade finance and open account trade
  • a strong interest in credit risk and deal structuring/-execution
  • excellent oral and written skills in English
  • an academic degree in economics, management, law, engineering or equivalent
