New opportunity for a Solution Designer to join our Delivery team at ING. You will be playing a key role in the design of interesting and wide-ranging IT solutions at the Feature level, using practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery across an array of exciting IT projects in the coming year. You will also be joining a supportive and dynamic team who are responsible for the design and delivery of innovative products, which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia, using your vision for the future and seeing that through to production.

Internally, this role is functionally aligned with the solution architecture and reports to the Chapter Lead – Solution Design.

What you’ll do

  • Work in an agile environment that’s fluid, high-velocity and inclusive
  • Support senior business managers to make informed complex IT decisions
  • Design high quality, resilient and scalable Feature Solutions that will see us into the future
  • Devise release plans and ensure features are delivered safely into production
  • Become an end to end subject matter expert (design to production)
  • Work with vendors and offshore partners to align with business outcomes
  • Be part of Global ING Communities, ensuring Australia is aligned

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 7 - 8 years of experience in IT with at least 3 years relevant as Solution Designer
  • End to end experience from Design to “Go-Live”
  • Knowledge of design, infrastructure, configurations and 3rd party vendor management
  • Strong REST architectural principles and design patterns, REST and SOA technologies including Swagger, OpenAPI and JSON Schema
  • Microservices Architecture using Kafka messaging or similar
  • Familiar with Azure DevOps
  • Financial Services experience valuable (Core Banking will be a favourably viewed)
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated stakeholder management skills
